THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD
Reality is indeed stressful
One reason so many people bail out
They would rather find their life blissful
Instead of dealing with problems and doubt
Children are lucky in that respect
Because dreamworld is where they reside
Their minds are filled with illusions they pick
And that's their place to hide
As an adult we have a responsibility
To know what's going on
We remain tied in all probability
To bland standards from dusk until dawn
In times of turmoil some may shatter
And childhood seems an escape
Too short are those years that matter
And growing up is our only mistake
The weight of the world on our shoulders
Two feet planted firmly on the ground
It is the curse of our growing older
Some can never get up once they're down
