Politician, ask yourself this
Is serving as a patriot your bliss?
Did you run for the money and cushy job?
Is it our coffers you intend to rob?
Will you be our voice or ignore our pleas?
Or choose the lobbyists to appease?
Will you serve your term in dignity?
Or fall into some complicentcy?
Will you consider laws based on common sense
Or mandate all at our expense?
Will evil become the goal you chase
As you become a champion of time to waste?
If you are a true upstanding soul
And make serving your country your ultimate goal
Then run, please do, as our selection
Our representative in this election
