"When it comes to a spiritual person they become more noticeable by their actions." Jim Dixon
HER ANGEL
Sullen and hopeless she sat and stared
Back at a world that hadn't cared
Although she made not a single demand
A loving stranger touched her hand
He looked into her eyes to see
A break in her reality
What caused this lady to succumb
To this helpless mass that she's become?
He hugged her and he wiped her tear
Whispered words she needed to hear
Stroked her hair and planted a kiss
On the forehead of this falling miss
There, that day, she sat and prayed
Amid the shattered dreams she carefully laid
Someone had betrayed her trust
What she called love was another's lust
An angel answered her prayers that day
And wiped the salty tears away
She had not seen him but could feel him there
And in a fleeting moment she became aware
She had let the devil into her life
Yearning to become a wife
Now with a spiritual act and words unspoken
The evil spell had now been broken
In a miraculous moment of regained respect
She got to her feet to stand erect
As her angel left he waved and smiled
She had the courage to walk another mile
