Belie the faces growing thin
Weary patriots in vain beseech thee
Please, stand, demand your rights
Our final lifeline to liberty
Disappearing from our sights
When christened as the land of the free
It didn't refer to a ride
In welfare we've lost our dignity
Gone a sense of pride
Our final hope is that more will see
The truth has now been lost
It's suicide to let it be
And freedom is the cost
