UNDER THE LEADER'S THUMB
That paper has been trampled upon
Torn apart and its essence undone
It has been amended for rights
Sometimes wrong
Has it become so atrophied
It is no longer strong?
From under what rock did such leaders appear
To shread the constitution we held so dear?
Do we want rights or do we want wrongs?
Why aren't we against the tyrants who don't belong?
Free speech, our guns, our liberty
There will be nothing left of our dignity
Under the leader's thumb beware
Of agendas uncouth just lurking there
Will we man up and stand our ground?
Or shrink beneath their boots and be thoroughly drowned?
Will we look back one day and say we stood, man?
Or regretfully rue we certainly should have?
