DANCING WITH THE LIARS
Dancing with liars, spinning around the truth
Twisting into what seems to them so right
Wall flowers watch the dancers as they play their limbo games
Rolling their eyes at all the bullshit brought to light
What seems to be such a party on the dance floor
Is the magic that turns the falsehood into truth
The antics on the field that ups the score
Make we, the spectators, wondering "what's the use?"
Then the DJ chimes in with his flowery rhetoric
To try to spin what's true into the lie
He must think we are mostly near illiterate
Thinking their manipulation might just up and fly
Do we appear that we don't have a clue?
Do they think we will take it on the chin?
Are we people who will sit around feeling blue?
Just accepting as fact what's untrue?
Another witness takes the stand after they swear
Then they think they have us all convinced
Deep down we know what happens there
As they flash an evil smile and plead the fifth.
