Nothing is poetical if plain daylight is not poetical; and no monster should amaze us if the normal man does not amaze.
Gilbert K. Chesterson
English Writer 1874-1936
Our Monotony
I awake to simple bird songs
And a typical morning sunrise
All my things are where they belong
As I rub my sleepy eyes
Ordinary people are hurrying
To earn a living wage
Children to school are scurrying
To read another page
It is all another day we are livin'
Nothing more awesome than the day before
But it's really magic that we've been given
Behind monotony's door
