BUCHANAN TO OBAMA By Patrick J. Buchanan

about time!!

BUCHANAN TO OBAMA By Patrick J. Buchanan

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America .. Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation.. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.... This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.. JeremiahWright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the '60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream. Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants.

Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude??

Barack talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks. Let him go to Altoona ? And Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for 'deserving' white kids...?

Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America ? Is it really white America's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Hussein Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena ....and all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago. This needs to be passed around because, this is a message everyone needs to hear!!!

OK...........will you pass it on ?

YES. I did but will you?

Because I'm for a better America.

I am Not racist, Not violent,

Just not silent anymore.

The blatant scandals that rocked us

Horrified and shocked us

Are still as terrible as the very first day

It is how we look upon them

Criticize or respond to them

That impacts our acceptance or dismay

We must keep the home fires burning

And for truth we must be yearning

And lead those with less knowledge to compete

We the People hold the courage

To stand up and discourage

Actions that will cause our country defeat

Never shall we hide

The patriotism and pride

That keeps oppressors just outside our door

The ones who most despise us

Will see how we stand for the liberty we adore

THE THEFT OF OUR LIBERTY

I have seen the rise and fall of Nazi tyranny, the subsequent cold war and the nuclear nightmare that for 50 years haunted the dreams of children everywhere. During that time my generation defeated totalitarianism and as a result, your world is poised for a better tomorrow. What will you do on your journey?

THE THEFT OF OUR LIBERTY

In the fifties the threat of Communism

Had even children aware

Of the danger lurking in the shadows

The apprehension was in the air

Bomb shelter plans were talked about

Some were built and stocked

Schools practiced air raid drills

In case devastating bombs were dropped

Come Presidents Kennedy and Reagan

Who confronted our enemies head on

Contentious walls were crumbled

The fear was finally gone

Then Obama was elected

A historical event

A black president was selected

He was applauded in his ascent

Who would have guessed George Soros

And Alinski would pull the strings

And use this radical's presidency

To perpetuate evil things

We the People have foes in media

The patriots have a battle ahead

To depose the Socialist Obama regime

Who have on our rights have tread

It Takes Cheer To Get Thingsp Done

Wondrous is the strength of cheerfulness, and its power of endurance...the cheerful man will do more in the same time, will do it better, will preserve it longer, than the sad or sullen.

Thomas Carlyle

Scottish Philosopher

1795-1881

It Takes Cheer To Get Thing Done

Wondrous and vigorous

The cheerful soul is applauded

Surrounded by followers

He goes happily undaunted

The smiles he brings

To his daily endeavors

Urges those around him

To work together

While the sullen one

Sits alone in sadness

Swearing off all this

Happy madness

Progress is proudly displayed

By the cheerful subjects who have it made

FROM THE HEART AND MIND

Develop enthusiasm for what you do. Reason without heart, though abstractly persuasive, is like an autumn leaf: beautiful perhaps, but at the same time lifeless.

(Unknown author)

The human mind is a wonderful thing

It is the keeper of every thought you've ever known

It's from the mind ideas will spring

And innovations from these ideas are grown

The heart is what drives the mind's discretion

And bring meaning to your mind's creations

The personal touch in a man's expression

And the compassion with each inspiration

Ideas without guidance from the heart

Like an autumn leave, a colorful array

It sits there an aging lifeless art

With no passion to portray

Involvement

I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. ‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principals unto death.

Enter no fight that can right the wrongs

You are one of many just living to be

A silence in the shadows is where you belong

Then there are your counterparts

Smiling in the face of adversity

Knowing how, when, and where it starts

Standing up to contraversity

Shall the minions be meek and mild

And let the buffalo leave tracks on the souls

Living not to be involved

And arm yourself with facts

Be the branches that bear the leaves

Shelter your fellow man

Fighting Social Problems Sidetracked by Divisiveness

Bill O'Reilly stepped up and attempted to open up a much needed dialogue and serious look into the problems facing black America. He took the initiative to put on the table what problems are facing black America and he threw out there some possible solutions. Right or wrong about how to go about what keeps people mired in poverty, he took the initiative to express his ideas for a solution.

You would think that the black community would welcome the dialogue about the problems facing black America. Instead, Whitey is said to be racist, demeaning and showing false concern for something we know nothing about.

It is not true, Mr. Sharpton. The concern we have is not just for black America, it is concern for all Americans.  We don't need to bump heads over who is genuinely interested in solving the problems that affect all the people living in this nation. It happens to be that the black community is statistically more affected so it is in that direction we point the scrutiny.

There are going to be crimes commited within our races on each other. We have to accept there are racists on both sides among us. The solution is not to blame White America, Black America, Hispanic America, or Muslim America and spend precious time pointing fingers and organizing protests for every injustice.

Our precious time and resources should be spent finding solutions to the problems that face us as Americans. All Americans.

We cannot solve the problems that put our people in run down ghettos and void of proper education while divided and at each other's throats.

Let's stop pointing accusatory fingers at one another and work together to make a better life for all of us.

BENGHAZI...THE AMAZING STORY

Look at the folks who wrote this ! I'm tired of the lies and lack of sense of country and duty to the American people . Look at the stink about Travon who picked the fight and this......... sad. THIS IS A TRUE STORY...and a dirty one! Cynthia Lee Meyers – You need to read this true account of what happened to our Ambassador Stevens and the other 3 who died. If this doesn't make you mad...............Cynthia Lee Myers Wanted to share the truth of what happened over in Libya, you will not find this in the media yet but it airs tonight on FNC.....please read.... "Here is my story. A week out the Embassy in Tripoli began receiving> multiple tips about an Al Queda cell in the area planning an attack on 9/11 in response to to the killing of Bin Laden. For the next several days, the state dept and WH were asked for a security force and were denied at least six times. Ambassador Stevens and his team were given the all clear that the Consulate in Benghazi was safe and there was no need for a security force other than his 3 personal guards(One being my cousin) and a few Libyans who were not armed. Then the attack and murders occurred. Immediately the WH claimed it was a protest gone bad over a you tube video. Obama made a quick speech in the Rose Garden on Sept.12 before catching a plane to Vegas to campaign. He made a generic statement at the end of his speech after placing the blame on an overheated protest over the video. He said "No act of terror will shake the resolve of America . Later that day and over the next 2 days, the liberal media began saying Ambassador Stevens and the other 3 men died of smoke inhalation. This was not the case. Out of respect for my cousin, I'm not going to be specific about his murder. However Ambassador Stevens was brutally murdered. His genitals were cut off, he was sodomized and beaten and cut and stabbed and burned. He was drug thru the streets and left for dead. This is eyewitness testimony of a local Dr. who found the Ambassador in a ditch and tried to save his life. He had no idea who he was. The other 3 men, including my cousin, met similar fates. And deaths due to smoke inhalation is a 100% fabricated LIE. The next week I drove my aunt and Uncle and 2 others to DC to receive his body. We met with Hillary, Panetta, and Susan Rice. ALL of whom apologized and said it was a protest gone bad over a video and exited the area. Next Obama entered with the same story and didn't apologize and wasn't sympathetic. My aunt cried to this man and all he did was hand her flowers and walk away. I tried to get his attention, but didn't. I got upset and yelled liar to him, he kept walking. Then a secret service agent grabbed my arm and led me to a room where I was held till the proceedings were over. America, I saw firsthand how cold this man is. What kind of liar he is. Most of you haven't a clue about this tyrant and yet you support him. And act like every word he says is Gospel. These murders and the fast and furious cover ups make water gate look like, a kid who told his bff's secret to the class. We must stop this man, and please pass this story along. -- God Bless America ! THIS PART YOU DON'T KNOW, BUT SHOULD. AMERICAN VALOR, BENGHAZI , LIBYA : The stunning part of this story is that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty killed 60 of the attacking force. Once the compound was overrun, the attackers were incensed to discover that just two men had inflicted so much death and destruction. The news has been full of the attacks on our embassies throughout the Muslim world, and in particular, the deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others in Benghazi , Libya . However, there's a little known story of incredible bravery, heroics, and courage that should be the top story. So what actually happened at the U.S. embassy in Libya ? We are learning more about this every day. Ambassador Stevens and Foreign Service officer Sean Smith, along with administrative staff, were working out of temporary quarters due to the fact that in the spring of 2011 during the so-called Arab Spring, the United States cut ties with then president Moammar Gadhafi. Our embassy was looted and ransacked, causing it to be unusable. It is still in a state of disrepair. Security for embassies and their personnel is to be provided by the host nation. Since Libya has gone through a civil war of sorts in the past 18 months, the current government is very unstable, and therefore, unreliable. A well-organized attack by radical Muslims was planned specifically targeting the temporary U.S. embassy building. The Libyan security force that was in place to protect our people deserted their post, or joined the attacking force. Either way, our people were in a real fix. And it should be noted that Ambassador Stevens had mentioned on more than one occasion to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, that he was quite concerned for his personal safety and the welfare of his people. It is thought that Ambassador Stevens was on a "hit list". A short distance from the American compound, two Americans were sleeping. They were in Libya as independent contractors working an assignment totally unrelated to our embassy. They also happened to be former Navy Seals. When they heard the noise coming from the attack on our embassy, as you would expect from highly trained warriors, they ran to the fight. Apparently, they had no weapons, but seeing the Libyan guards dropping their guns in their haste in fleeing the scene, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty snatched up several of these discarded weapons and prepared to defend the American compound. Not knowing exactly what was taking place, the two Seals set up a defensive perimeter. Unfortunately Ambassador Stevens was already gravely injured, and Foreign Service officer, Sean Smith, was dead. However, due to their quick action and suppressive fire, twenty administrative personnel in the embassy were able to escape to safety. Eventually, these two courageous men were overwhelmed by the sheer numbers brought against them, an enemy force numbering between 100 to 200 attackers which came in two waves. But the stunning part of the story is that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty killed 60 of the attacking force. Once the compound was overrun, the attackers were incensed to discover that just two men had inflicted so much death and destruction. As it became apparent to these selfless heroes, they were definitely going to lose their lives unless some reinforcements showed up in a hurry. As we know now, that was not to be. I'm fairly certain they knew they were going to die in this gun fight, but not before they took a whole lot of bad guys with them! Consider these tenets of the Navy SEAL Code: 1) Loyalty to Country, Team and Teammate, 2) Serve with Honor and Integrity On and Off the Battlefield, 3) Ready to Lead, Ready to Follow, Never Quit, 4) Take responsibility for your actions and the actions of your teammates, 5) Excel as Warriors through Discipline and Innovation, 6) Train for War, Fight to Win, Defeat our Nation's Enemies, and... 7) Earn your Trident every day (http://www.navyseals.com/seal-code-warrior-creed ). Thank you, Tyrone and Glen. To the very last breath, you both lived up to the SEAL Code. You served all of us well. You were courageous in the face of certain death. And Tyrone, even though you never got to hold your newborn son, he will grow up knowing the character and quality of his father, a man among men who sacrificed himself defending others. Commentary on Tolerance

Tolerance is the last virtue of a dying society.

~Aristotle

Tolerance can mean a whole lot of things and can also be measured in different degrees. Sure we all tolerate certain things...we have to get along don't we? I don't really think Aristotle had getting along with aunt Sadie in mind. I think he is referring to a different version of tolerance where we as a society tolerate so many things so not to make waves. I call it apathy! Tolerance in this case refers to a permissiveness in attitudes toward opinions and practices. When a society dies it's then when we become  permissive in attitude and accept the lies and lack of integrity of our leaders. It's funny that truth and integrity was the subject of my blog this morning (navchief8@blogspot.com)

WE HAVE TO GET THE POINT ACROSS THAT WE ARE NOT GOING TO TOLERATE THE CRAP THEY ARE FEEDING US!. Tolerance is the last virtue of a dying society...but when taken to the extremes how can tolerance be a virtue? If Aristotle were here I'd ask him.

JT Dixon

Tolerance Was Our Final Virtue

Tolerance is the last virtue of a dying society.

~Aristotle

Tolerance Was Our Final Virtue

It happens over time

Little by little by little

Theft is the crime

It's so very simple, so simple

Some have grown lazy

Some blinded by greed

Always too busy

To see how we bleed

Liberty is spinning

Slowly down the drain

Though patriots are complaining

Big government reigns

Socialism bloomed

Our children are trained

Our country is doomed

Because our tolerance remained

Destruction of Our Cities

We have a radical Marxist president and that includes all his appointees and the justice department. They have managed to grow dependency using the same techniques that Franklin Roosevelt did. Roosevelt created more than 30 new federal departments. Obama has done the same in half the time and  they get away with it by having the government become everybody's mama and daddy. How dare the people talk back to that.

It takes more than a patriotic heart...it takes a willing people. Who out there is willing to give up their free shit as long as the economy is at a standstill.

Matthews fears were justified...dependency will end us all and Detroit is a perfect example of a government set up to serve 2 million people. They now only have 700,000 left and 30% of them are unemployeed. Other cities will also fall and soon the entire nation will be third world because of our total lack of leadership has thrown a great nation into the depts of fear.

BILL AYERS AND THE WEATHER UNDERGROUND

It was 1969 and we had no thought of someone by the name of William Ayers and the Weather Underground.

There was a child, age 7, who lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His mother put him in Children’s Community School. This was a before school program for kids. The President was Bill Ayres.

The child was Matthew Cummings. He is now a minister and he is speaking out about his years as a small boy under Bill Ayres. Matthew Cummings is a black man.

He says what Obama is doing is exactly what he heard about at the age of 7...

He was told daily that America was not good. He was told that the state and government are more powerful than God. He was told not to listen to his parents.

Also working at that school and also his babysitter was Diana Oughton. She was a prime bomb maker for the Weather Underground, another radical MARXIST.

This is the quote from Matthew Cummings:

The America I see today scares the heck out of me. Dependence on government will be our destruction.

And this is all a part of the plan...

S. Krogman

THE EVOLUTION OF SOCIALISM

This is the quote from Matthew Cummings:

"The America I see today scares the heck out of me. Dependence on government will be our destruction."

In his early years, Bill Ayers sought destruction through violent protests and explosives. He evolved when he realized the best way to destroy a Democratic society is from within. And that is what he and his minions have been doing ever since.

These turncoats infiltrate our schools, government offices, and influensive corporations to spread Socialism. Their young, impulsive mindset of immediate change through force morphed into the long term plan they put in motion many years ago.

How better to gain supporters than by breaking our economy (George Soro's expertise) and creating a society of dependent people who will vote for anyone who will continue to establish more ways to take care of them. Freedom means nothing to dependent people who are comfortable in their poverty and do not care to pursue happiness.

A once reasonable balance of more centered liberal and conservative ideals is now a standoff between extremes on both sides that stagnate the balance of power by stalling the legislative branch of government. Enter a president who has his eyes set on reforming America into a Socialistic society with the guidance of people like Soros and Ayers. He gets his way by circumventing congress via executive orders and you have the makings of a dictatorship.

Appointments of ultra extreme socialist minded people in key positions such as the Department of Justice and the Supreme Court derail our whole system of checks and balances. Add the indoctrination in our schools and rejection of religion the recipe for transformation is well on its way to becoming the meal we are being forced to consume...big government and continuous loss of liberty.

THE FUTURE OF OUR REPUBLIC

SCOTTIE NELL HUGHES:

If Obama had a son, he would look like Trayvon Martin. If Obama had a city, it would look like Detroit. If Obama had a country, it would look like Cuba.

The Future of Our Republic

It's a damaged land of heartache now

Where Motown records made its name

Abandoned buildings where rats now prowl

And have made it their domain

Those who stayed are unemployed

It has become a way of life

They sit on crumbling porches

Reliving each day in strife

The gangs are armed and deadly

They own the neighborhoods

The streets at night unfriendly

The boundaries understood

Fat cat progressives have been in power

For more than fifty years

In champaign they could shower

Their concern so insincere

Once a thriving auto town

Detroit is now in decay

America will follow

If Obama has his way

SEEING THE WORLD IN BLACK AND WHITE

Negative occurrences in life are so imposing they tend to block out the rest of life's true gifts.

It is never good to put a solid wall where there could be a window that allows you to see the wonderful gift of life awaiting you in the background.

Seeing the World in Black and White

Though the imposing black days weigh heavy upon your feelings

There is an abundance of good out there that tend to be appealing

If all you are willing to see are the walls that block your advancement

Maybe it's fitting you lock yourself away from life's enchantment

If you continually only see the world in a faded black and white

There is nothing even God can do to set your journey right

Open up the shades and let the color come flowing in

Wasting God's creation is truely your biggest sin

Appreciation

Ever increasingly disillusioned

Of what pitfalls life had dealt me

Was this my self imposed seclusion?

It's been too long since someone held me

As the teardrops stung my eyes

I caught a glimpse of a single cloud

Who'd have known a symbol from the sky

Could speak to me so loud

It was an angry storm cloud lingering

But it's edge glowed brightly silver

It set my rigid spine a-tingling

In the message it delivered

I swear that day my Lord had spoken

In a sign that set me right

It wasn't the world around me broken

I realized with great delight

I was reminded to appreciate

The wonders stacked around me

It was time that I initiate

The new attitude that found me

REFRESHED

When was the last time you spent a quiet moment just doing nothing....just sitting and looking at the sea, or watching the wind blowing, the tree limbs, and waves rippling on a pond, a flickering candle or children playing in the park?

Ralph Marston

Born January 18 1955/American Writer

This morning beginning at around 3 am I sat in the back yard and watched a storm come in. By 5 am I was sitting on the front porch feeling the strong wind and rain while I became part of the storm...wait, I shouldn't be talking about it, I should be poeting.

Refreshed

Sleep was escaping me

The heat for days had been too much

I longed for the cool fingers of change

To reach out for a touch

As I tossed and turned in sweat a soaked bed

I caught a glimpse of the late night sky

The full moon glowed an orange red

But dark clouds were gathering nearby

I sprinted down the stairs with glee

And took a seat in my back yard

A summer storm was calling me

That I couldn't disregard

Lightning illuminated the sky with wonder

Amidst the drum roll for effect

Of course it was the sound of thunder

What more could I expect?

The wind arrived to blow away

The heat that made me melt

The storm was here to have its say

Exhilaration is what I felt

Wet and refreshed I became a part

Of the fury that nature released

Sometimes a storm can touch your heart

Then fade you back to peace

Ordinary

An ordinary man, does what is expected

His children and wife are loved and respected

An ordinary woman, very much the same

Living ordinary lives with no need for blame

The hateful man and woman thrive

On whatever addictions let them survive

They will never be ordinary, they never knew it's existence

They gave up fighting society's resistance

The extraordinary gives and accepts the best

Their children have it all and could not care less

They bear the heirs that have it all

Those who never take an ordinary man's call

Those who best function live in mediocrity

Life revolves around the best of family unity

The exploited are born with their grave dug and ready

The powers that be go on rich and steady

Survival is hinged on an ordinary society

Tolerating and trying to reach those of sub-mediocrity

The rich keep us going in taxes and such

Reality is just an ordinary touch.

OUR MONOTONY

Nothing is poetical if plain daylight is not poetical; and no monster should amaze us if the normal man does not amaze.

Gilbert K. Chesterson

English Writer 1874-1936

Our Monotony

I awake to simple bird songs

And a typical morning sunrise

All my things are where they belong

As I rub my sleepy eyes

Ordinary people are hurrying

To earn a living wage

Children to school are scurrying

To read another page

It is all another day we are livin'

Nothing more awesome than the day before

But it's really magic that we've been given

Behind monotony's door

Why the Patriots are losing

I can see on Twitter and Facebook those taking the initiative to stand against the agendas within the government are not being misdirected by their diversions. We ARE being met with s major blockade...politically ignorant misinformed people who are taken in by the lies fed through the corrupt main stream media.

This administration is actually fortunate that our economy is in freefall. That insures them a major base of people needing to live off government handouts. They are not going to bite the hand that feeds them.

Then there are the Hollywood liberals who think they are something because they all have their social causes. These are the ones the misinformed voters emulate. Their heroes from the big screen and flat screen say the successful capitalists are not paying their fair share...they believe it. They say the conservatives are all racists...they believe it. They say our intolerance induces terrorism...they believe it.

The administration is reveling in the fact we are so engrossed in the horrible injustice of the Travon Martin shooting that we are putting the the scandals embroiling the ever growing corrupt government on the back burner. Marian Beatty

"The time has come to be a defender of your family and freedoms. All causes you fight for...whether constitutional rights, religious freedom, fiscal responsibility, military readiness or protecting the disabled, elderly, unborn and indigent, will all be overridden by and succumb to the controls of the power elites of AGENDA 21. If you choose inaction, look nowhere else to place the blame. Once informed, you as an American must choose to stand or fall." Sharon Sebastian

We're too secure

In the status quo

We figure that

We run the show

Our ultimate demise

Because our culture

Politicians have visions

To take command

And transform us

I remain just one thing, and one thing only, and that is a clown. It places me on a far higher plane than a politician.

The clowns arrive in limousines

Piling out one by one

The congress is about to convene

To get some spending done

Laws are discussed and bills are passed

Sometimes they make some sense

But most of the time that congress is in session

The circus will commence

Clowns that juggle, trip, and fall

Stand up to have their say

Forward they will barely crawl

With the agenda of the day

The spoiled clowns with me complexes

Argue their partisan agendas

Their only accomplishments are more and more taxes

Explaining it with propaganda

So I say with a disgusted expression

As the country keeps plummeting down

When congress is in session

The circus is in town

You Won't Find It

Try, but you won't find it there

It's a journey if no conseqence

That setting sun may be somewhere

A wasted ride so many have spent

An idyllic ride into the sunset brings

Nothing but your tired horses

It's a fable at the end of things

When life has run its final courses

Retaining the Spirit

A warrior must only take care that his spirit is not broken. (anonymous)

He is the knight upon a spirited white horse

There to rescue the damsel, of course

His sword is ready at his side

Without regret he begins his ride

Any fear he has is put away

Forgotten, his feelings are held at bay

His inner hero has boldly spoken

The warrior's spirit will not be broken

All That's left is to Be a Clown

The broken people become masters at mending. Don’t despise your adversity. It is preparing you for something greater. (anonymous)

All That's left is to Be a Clown

Too many times his heart was broken

Too many times he healed his pain

Too many times his vows were spoken

Never again, never again

The scars upon his heart revealed

Wounds in life he had endured

He recuperated alone with his lips sealed

Spilling it all was so absurd

The lonely man with eyes so sad

And a painted smile for all to see

Is all that is left of hope he had

It's a clown that he pretends to be

The Final Straw

The Final Straw

It is all about the broken heart

Its cracks releasing every ounce

Of trust you had within your grasp

The relationships you now denounce

It's all about the naked mind

Exposing hidden secrets kept

When you finally hurt enough inside

Your pain is spilled in tears you wept

In the end you contemplate

A journey you for life avoided

It seems the only road to take

When all but a heartbeat has been destroyed

No Longer Here

Jon Voight (actor) said BEFORE Obama won in 2008.

This is a perilous time, and more than ever, the world needs a united and strong America. If, God forbid, we live to see Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way.

While we go about our daily lives

Secure that we are free to do our bidding

There are plans in motion within the boundaries of Washington

That will guarantee our liberty is ending

So happy in our freedom we scurry

About our daily lives unaware

Those we put in power are changing our lives

While in other directions we continue to stare

Though we remain within our boundaries

Attend sporting events and cheer

Under our feet a country is crumbling

Though we remain within our boundaries, we are no longer here

Thievery

Alexander Hamilton said this.... (he was one of the Founding Fathers & Chief of Staff to General Washington. Lived 1757-1804)

However weak our country may be, I hope we never sacrifice our liberties.

Thievery

Hang on tight to your possessions

Lock up your money in a thick, heavy safe

But hold closer to your heart your right to expression

And the liberty you should tightly embrace

The people we have elected to serve us

Have turned a deaf ear on our demands

But continue to secretly observe us

Ready to undermine our any demands

Keep the patriots close and in tune

As the leaders we elected come undone

A revolution is in order, I presume

Because the thievery of our liberty has now begun

The Game

The cards upon the table dealt

By the faceless dealer known as fate

Are the random cards in life you get

The symbles that covered your personal slate

You accept the cards one by one

And are given a chance to exchange the hand

It's your decision what cards to shun

When to fold and when to stand

IT WAS ONCE HOME

It Once Was Home

The blue spruce that my daddy planted

Is now a towering wonder

It stood beneath our own blue sky

And absorbed our own loud thunder

According to family gossip

The secret of the story

Is he planted it the very first day

To mark our territory

The walls that mama painted

That color would never do

They changed the color the day we left

To a tasteful baby blue

The bedroom where I laid my head

And said my nightly prayer

Is sporting now a single bed

Not the bunks my brother and I shared

Sometimes I feel angry

That they changed our personal touch

But we've been gone a long long time

So it doesn't matter much

MOVING FORWARD

Moving Forward

It was good while it lasted

That childhood place in time

I won't be distressed

Because it's upward now I climb

Once lost in the past

Yearning for rooms where I once stayed

It's been many years since the last time

Where within those walls I played

Like a favorite song I hum

I just cannot reject the new ones

The past is now done

My days will not be blue ones

Times and places have changed so much, see

Can't say I just don't care

Those memories still touch me

But I am no longer there

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS: INDOCTRINATION OF THE MASSES

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS: INDOCTRINATION OF THE MASSES

Political correctness is a Marxist ploy. It is also one of Saul Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals, though he does not call it Political Correctness. He says “change the language.”

Definitely we can see that the “language” has changed. We must all live a lie and tippy toe around so as not to offend GAYS, TERRORIST, CERTAIN ETHNIC GROUPS, RACES,WOMEN, DUMB PEOPLE, etc.....

Political Correctness, just like Marxism, depends on defining what is considered good and bad groups. (this can also include economic status where all must be level) It’s an IDEOLOGY & a FAST SPREADING DISEASE and the masses are infected with it.

Political Correctness is using the younger generation to silence the older generation. It’s social Marxism to limit truth! It actually does not make us more tolerant but causes more hatred, in my humble opinion.

Political Correctness evades truth!

S. Krogman

political correctness shuts us up

The subject of political correctness is, as you say, indoctrination of the masses. Even the term political correctness is a contradiction to the truth. In the end you can't make a sows ear look like silk no matter what you call it. Changing the name to rabbit while in reality it's a bear is not going to mitigate the danger of what's chasing you. Lie to yourself if you will but when a bear is coming my way don't tell me it's a rabbit so as not to ofend the bear. That is basically how destructive political correctness really is. It dangerously alters reality to fit a non existant softer gentler situation. To call terrorism work place violence or an overseas contingency does not alter the death and destruction that is taking place. Calling something by another name does not make that evil something disappear. Yes...political correctness shuts us up and evolves intro a purer form of facisim

Our rant about political correctness

I believe that political correctness can be a form of linguistic fascism, and it sends shivers down the spine of my generation who went to war against fascism.

P.D. James English Novelist Born 1920

Political correctness is a slap in the face to those who are being "protected" from being singled out for their differences. Why should the color of one's skin, ethnicity, religion, body build, looks, speech pattern, etc be singled out as so offensive that the folks need to be protected by any mention of their differences.

Is being black so offensive that it should not be mentioned in relation to the subject? I suppose it is better to use the code words associated with the differences along with the wink and look askance  when you dare to speak publicly about the person or subject.

Differences should be celebrated, discussed, and understood. Perhaps negativity could be shed if differences were discussed instead of whispered about.

Celebrate you ethnicity!  Be proud to discuss your French, Mexican, Indian, Native American, Asian roots.

Discuss what it is like to be an African Americans in a predominately white society.

Should asking someone a question pertaining to their physical differences be so horrifying that you must put it in the category of being protected under the heading of political correctness?

Why is opening up a dialogue about differences so offensive? How do I cope with being obese? Let me tell you what it's like and perhaps you will understand how I got this way and what it is like to live in a body limited by obesity.

Political correctness is silencing the dialogue that can bring people together. It widens the gap and causes more sensitivity.

" Political correctness doesn’t change us. It shuts us up."

Glenn Beck

What better way to drive a wedge between people within a society than by putting labels on their individuality, traits, ethnicicity, color, political persuasion, color, ot physical appearance?

Convince a people They are targets of others and it will be an ongoing civil war and preventing the unity necessary to stand up to the authoritarian types with their eyes on expanding government.

When there is hate and mistrust among a people there is a division among a people. Cracks form to let subversive entities infilrate. Resolve for a people's' rights are compromised when people are engaged in civil war based on differences that should be readily accepted and celebrated.

Those with designs on growing government are in their glory when there is distrust and descent among the people.

Political correctness is the best tool for building a dysfunctional society. In order to quiet people they make them afraid to speak for fear of accusatory reactions.

Power Doesn't Make It So

And speaking of evidence.....Power is not sufficient evidence of truth. Samuel Johnson

Power Doesn't Make It So

So now you've been selected

Campaigned and re-elected

Again your shining hour

Is you are once again in power

Your agenda remains the same

And you'll cause our country shame

Because misinformed people cast their votes

Your administration remains afloat

But though the blind can't see

That we could lose our liberty

Truth is not proved by power

And truth seekers never cower

Labels

The word racism is like ketchup. It can be put on practically anything......and demanding evidence makes you a racist.

Thomas Sowell

Labels

I love my fellow man

I see no faces' color

I feel no ill will

Yet I am racist still?

Because I beg to disagree

Or have an opposing opinion

They say I'm filled with hate

I say it's their mistake

I've been blind to color

And religious choice

I have defended all

At the top of my voice

But if I should question bold

I'm a bigot now, it's told.

Collective Blame

Punishment is now unfashionable....because it creates moral distinctions among men, which, to the democratic mind, are odious. We prefer a meaningless collective guilt to a meaningful individual responsibility.

Thomas Szasz American Psychologist Born 1920

Come walk the road we travel

Until your morals unravel

I refuse to take the blame for you

Be accountable for what you choose to do

Shining trophies on the shelf

Earned in competition by myself

You didn't run that race for me

And neither did society

Lawless thug behind the bars

Wearing proudly years of scars

Is his evil notoriety

The fault of all society?

Arrest the People

We must reject the idea that every time a law is broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his or her actions.

Ronald Reagan

Arrest the People

The brutal man takes his gun

Confronts the store clerk one on one

"Give me all the money you got"

But the store clerk didn't have a lot

He pushed the store clerk on the floor

Kicked his head and kicked some more

Shot him once between the eyes

Did this innocent man deserve to die?

Are we to blame for evil acts?

For lawless actions and disrespect?

Who do we attribute the bad in thee?

Is it home based or society?

Who is to be held accountable

For the actions of the contemptible?

Are we as a society

To blame in all entirety?

Arrest the people and jail them all

When on individual takes a fall

It's easy to blame society

And serve us all the penalty

Jim says:

"Obama is afraid of constitutional government and informed public" I do believe that Obama is a very sick man with a very twisted mind. Most dictators have these qualities. Should I be afraid to say that? Perhaps so! As long as we are afraid we will be the first to lose. We have to overcome our fears to restore hope.

There are enough statistics out there to prove that Obama by process has just about destroyed the general fabric of America and he was able to do it with a dumbed down citizen. We have known this for such a long time while others hang in the background consumed with their destrating toys.

Sharon says:

BARACK OBAMA IS AFRAID OF CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT AND AN INFORMED PUBLIC

Isn’t it the Marxist who believe people should be dumbed down?

One of out 6 people in the USA are now on food stamps. Could that eventually lead to USA becoming a third world country. Yet we hear that the economy is improving When you hear the job stats given it is all so complex anymore that nobody really even knows what it is. But if you look at the food stamps stats, that paints a gloomy picture.

Falling

QUOTE

In the richest country in the history of the world, the Obama economy has crushed the middle class. Family income has fallen by $4,000, but health insurance premiums are higher, food prices are higher, utility bills are higher, and gasoline prices have doubled. Today more Americans wake up in poverty than ever before.

Mitt Romney

Falling

I was never rich, but I got by

And had change left from my dollars

I traveled under clear blue skies

On mostly calm blue waters

I did my share and shared my lot

Was not afraid to work

Extravagant, I was not

I enjoyed an occasional perk

Now I struggle to find extra pennies

To buy a loaf of bread

Extras? There is never any

I do without instead

The car I drive is fifteen years old

Repairs are hard to do

In the winter my house is drafty and cold

In the summer I sweat and stew

Utilities are up, you see

I need to economize

This wasn't how it used to be

What to pay, I must compromise

Yes, I was once in the middle class

Comfortable with my status

But politics have come to pass

With Obama's policies now thrown at us

I'm now teetering on depression

And living in near poverty

In this extended fiscal recession

With no hope for recovery

Connection

quote from GLEN HANSARD, an Irish Musician:

The moment of drifting into thought has been so clipped by modern technology. Our lives are filled with distractions with Smart Phones and all the rest. People are so locked in to not being present.

Connection

So up to date and well informed

The media has our lives deformed

Tragic images in our brains

Constant coverage of things insane

Social media has us so engaged

We enter each other's lives page by page

Always there for all to see

The sadness or the victory

Phones attached to our own ears

Conversations pointless and insincere

Formed attachments to no one special

Bonds that would be inconsequential

Our lives have become an open book

Leave us dangling on an emotional hook

Technology rules our every thought

Silence and seclusion can't be bought

We are lost amid a crowded cloud

Constant interaction has burned me out

Newscasts keep me well informed

Is it sad I am no longer concerned?

Stealth

I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.

James Madison 1751-1836 American statesman/Political Theorist/4th President

I have the feeling sometimes that the chaos of scandals is hiding that gradual and silent agenda that this administration has in mind.

Stealth

While we watch the fireworks in celebration

Silent as Ninjas they sneak behind our backs

To install the corruption that will fell our nation

As we remain distracted liberty drains into the cracks

One by one scandals monopolize the news

They use this time to destroy our foundation

While we are arguing our vast opposing views

Their snide smiles grow as they insure our degradation

Experience

Courage is rarely won without despair, joy is often yoked with pain, and faith is seldom reached without struggle and doubt.

Johann Christoph Arnold

Experience

Give me adversity to know my courage

So I can be capable of standing my ground

I will be stronger for having the knowledge

The resolve in me that I've found

Allow me the pain circumstances bring

So my joy is much more intense

Allow me to balance the sad songs I sing

And let a choir angels commence

Show me times when I must struggle to survive

So my faith has the power to know

That I have it in me to somehow devise

A plan that will allow me to grow

THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE

The Universal Language

There are songs that shout anger

Those that scream pain

Some love songs we listen to

Again and again

There are lyrics that bring tears

Just like clouds bring the rain

Happy tunes that have you singing them

Again and again

I wore out some records

Hearing love songs at night

I knew every word

Because the feeling was right

Some beats made me dance

Though I didn't know how

I wasn't embarrassed then

But I guess I am now

One thing I have learned

That forever it goes

Music is the language

That everyone knows

Done

Thomas Jefferson:

Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the boisterous sea of liberty.

Done

I really must agree with them

I worry from which my meals will come

What they have done should not have been

But what has happened is gone and done

My government was meant to work for me

So apathetic I have become

I may have lost liberty but things are free

But what happened can't be undone

You may say I have lost my will

Well, I'm not the only one

Whatever the circumstance we linger still

A tumultuous sea beneath a setting sun

My Journey

I have two unrelated quotes today...the first one is about travel.

Once you have traveled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers, that the mind can never break off from the journey.

Pat Conroy American Writer born 1945

There is a place deep in my mind

Where memories are on frequent rewind

I relive the travels my life has seen

And live in the present in between

There is a place deep in my heart

For the journeys I set far apart

Special people accompanied me

In my heart it's where I want to be

There is a place deep in my soul

Holding the best of memories that made me whole

It holds the journey of my life, you see

The place where I was meant to be

I held my life in my own hands

Answered to the daily demands

The path of my life was led by The Lord

It's his light that I've been moving toward

NOT JUST ANOTHER DAY

It is Independence Day

Not just another day

Not just a holiday

Not just another day off with pay

It is the Fourth of July

A day fireworks light the sky

Chickens roast and hamburgers fry

People cheer as the parade goes by

I, myself, hold this day in awe

Thinking of the celebration our forefathers saw

They rejected tyranny, t'was the final straw

They stood their ground and set their jaw

On this day the ghosts of rebellion stand by

Silently praying the revelers who watch the sky

Understand that for freedom some patriots died

This day of celebration is for American pride

Second Wind and Not One Regret

1967 was 70.2 years of age.

Both of these quotes are from the Scottish Philosopher, Thomas Carlyle who lived 1795-1881.

I’ve got great ambition to die from exhaustion rather than boredom.

Second Wind

When I hear I am considered elderly

I really get quite miffed

There is nothing about me I can see

With the exception of being quite stiff

I have so much more to do

Work took my younger years

Whoever would have known

I'd find a few more gears

So watch out world, I have places to go

And so much I haven't seen yet

I can go along where the wind will blow

And have little to regret

And....

Old age is not a matter for sorrow. It is a matter for thanks if we have left our work done behind us.

Nothing Undone

Sorry I am not for things left undone

Because I did my best to close my goals one by one

If all was not achieved, it doesn't mean I didn't try

I won't be old and tired, looking back and asking why?

One Band of Freedom Fighters

One Band of Freedom Fighters

As we gleefully greet another Independence Day

With parades, fireworks, and celebration

Let us take a moment so we may say

A few words of appreciation.

Countless lives were lost to insure liberty

While there were protesters carrying signs

One group that means a lot to me

Is one they called The Fine Nine

In The Nam they gave it all one day

Saving others from the wounds of war

It's for them and countless others I pray

Who took their oath and swore

They swore to fight for their county's good

And left families home and waiting

It's for people like them it should be understood

They are our reason for
celebrating

The close knit group of hearty men

Who were the first aide providers

Left their souls where war had been

That one band of freedom fighters

Two Versions

A HAPPY CHILDHOOD....IS THE WORST POSSIBLE PREPARATION FOR LIFE.

Kinky Freedom/ Country singer, song writer, novelist, humorist, politician, former independent candidate for Governor of Texas coming in 4th out of 6 with 12.6% of the vote.

Down Home Lessons

Gotta have 'em yellin' atcha

Chasin' ya with that ol' whoopin'
Stick

Y'all should get used to name callin'

If ya'll are gonna get up when ya'll been fallin'

Arguin' at home prepares ya good

If ya don't know it now ya'll wish ya'll would

PO-lice man come knockin' at ya'll's door

It's either you or paw they be lookin' for

A night or two behind them bars

Gonna tattoo on some battle scars

If ya'll don't know now what ya'll learned best

Is that the best taught man comes from family unrest

Family Values

The folks at home showed their anger

With raised voices and admonition

You learned early that corporal punishment

With a paddle was their best ammunition

Your siblings were apt to call you names

You fought with them furious and often

It was best to learn to play their games

Maybe as they matured their resolve would soften

If someday jail was to enter your realm

As the law came for one of your own

You would learn a lesson which you would tell

Only to the folks at home

A hard living family with various values

Would teach you all you need to know

Self preservation at an early age

Prepares you for a world where greed will grow

READY

Before everything else, getting ready is the secret of success

~Henry Ford 1863-1947

Ready

Structure, obedience, responsibility, knowledge

Earning degrees in life, not college

Endurance of body and mind

Fierce courage clearly defined

Being ready for anything

Prepared and challenging

The secret of success

YOU ARE ALWAYS THERE

Never make your home in a place. Make a home for yourself inside your own head. You’ll find what you need to furnish it, memory, friends you can trust, love of learning, and other such things. That way it will go with you wherever you journey.

You Are Always There

They say the home is where your heart is

Sometimes I think it's so

Some pine for the yesterdays

In familiar places we know

From my own heart I have learned

Your connections are where you belong

When love is the anchor,

Wherever you are cannot be wrong

Family, friends, and memories

Are carried with you as you roam

Held lovingly in your heart and mind

Anyplace can be made a home
