IT STILL HURTS

It hasn't faded a bit from my memory

There is never a day goes by

It doesn't take a documentary

To think about the tragedies in the skies

The lost souls are forever in my heart

As are their haunted survivors

So many lives permanently torn apart

By the evil terror organizers

Think about the day after

How this country again was one

It should have been forever after

From the day the towers came down

Patriots, true Americans, please remember

Say a sincere prayer or two

For innocents lost eleven September

Under skies so clear and blue

Thank the passengers on flight 93

For the actions taken to down the plane

They gave their lives unselfishly

Could any of us do the same?

And yet as we approach this day in history

Terror still reigns throughout the land

We'll always fear another conspiracy

While there are terrorists in command
