LET ME WALK INTO HEAVEN WITH A SMILE
I remember the friend who blessed me
He never would depress me
I smile to myself rather than cry
He said "don't dare to shed a tear because I die!"
As I come upon times to remember
When he left me one December
It was easy not to weep
His smile he left behind for me to keep
"Weep not at the graveside" he said
"Toast my journey and grin instead"
"Take as a beautiful memory my glee"
"For the time you spent with me"
"Cry only to cleanse your soul,
"Then let tears of joy flow"
"So my path to eternity goes easier mile for mile"
"Let me walk into Heaven with a SMILE"
