History was wrought with devious deception

The serpent writhed with devilish laughter

Politicians take the cake
For the vociferous lies they make
And citizens in apathy lie in wait
For more "free" benefits from the state
Awards for votes and shere devotion
That keep deceptive careers in motion
Lies on paper and on tongues
Gullible believers absorb that dung
Countries crumble beneath the weight
Of falsehoods evil men create
The hopeful people pay the price
Corrupted leaders pulled the heist
