Just Be a Friend

"Our dependency makes slaves out of us, especially if this dependency is a dependency of our self esteem. If you need encouragement, praise, pats on the back from everybody, then you make everybody your judge." Fritz Peris (1873-1970) psychiatrist, author.

JUST BE A FRIEND

A little bit of praise is nice

To fuel one's energy

But I don't need it but once or twice

I'm embarrassed if it's heaped on me

Your encouragement keeps me on the go

It pushes me down a positive path

But a little is enough to make me glow

True friends provide it, no need to ask

I'm proud for every "atta girl!"

Picky criticism gets old too soon

But I don't need kudos to around me swirl

And shoot my ego to the moon

I think we all just need good friends

Who in kindness spur us on

And will judge us fairly in the end

And miss us when we're gone

Reflecting on quotes by Henry Glasow

Henry Glasow.....

"A good leader takes a little more than his share of the blame and a little less than his share of the credit."

HE'S TO BE RESPECTED

The ambitious general leads his men

With his well selected battle plan

Whatever happens in this horrific war

Will affect him to his mighty core

War to him is not a game

Defeat is his, he'll take the blame

And if awesome victory is to be the story

He credits his soldiers with all the glory

"One of the tests of leadership is the ability to recognize a problem before it becomes an emergency."

OBAMA, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?

Where were you Mr. President

When the guns walked over the border?

Who was there when Benghazi fell?

Who gave the stand down order?

Why didn't you visit that chaotic site

As tens of thousands of children fled

Into our country from South America

What the hell was in your head?

Why is it so hard to call it terror

When violence erupts again and again?

Why do you side with Muslim extremists

And bury your head in the sand?

Who started the war on women?

Why should it even exist?

Why do you like to play the race card?

Is it something you can't resist?

It is to our detriment you apologise

It weakens a once powerful nation

You refuse to quell the spending

As we are ruined by more inflation

Why do you condone dependence

And penalize those who toil?

You chase what's left of our industry

To build on foreign soil

You alienate our allies

And cozy to those who harm us

Indoctrination rots our children's minds

And you are determined to disarm us

Go play another round of golf

Enjoy your expensive vacations

Eight years have been the death of us

A once proud, mighty nation

"Fear is the lengthened shadow of ignorance."

THE SHADOWS

What is hiding in the deep abyss?

There lives the great unknown

What lingers in the shadows?

Or behind that old gravestone?

When we meet head on our enemy

And give evil a mortal face

It becomes possible to overcome

The fear we had embraced

"Happy is the person who knows what to remember of the past, what to enjoy in the present, and what to plan for the future."

THE GOOD LIFE

We frolicked in the sunshine

As children, in the summertime

There are always those memories to replay

When we need to see a good day

We can live life to the fullest

And tomorrow we shall repeat it

There's no need to live with a monster

When sheer happiness can defeat it

And when it's time to go

As angels we will fly

Happy that we're just moving on

And just didn't up and die

Seasona in Life

SEASONS IN LIFE

I so enjoy the autumn air

The colors and peace that linger here

It's a time in life to reflect on things

I've passed the summers and springs

So bittersweet it seems to be

Maturity has captured me

Though this time is meant for relaxation

It leads to mortal contemplation

This season precedes the winter snow

The day will come with bitter cold

The final season snuck up on me

In the transition of life that's meant to be

Before I let the snow blanket my soul

I'll savor the autumn winds that blow

Remembering the spring when I was new

And summers under skies of blue

Lies

"A lie would have no sense unless the truth were felt dangerous." Alfred Adler

LIES

Hi, hi little lie

Hiding facts and treasonous acts

That's how politicians get by

They skirt around the facts

Will honesty appear no more

In a country based on election?

Is it laziness that make the people ignore

Things said that warrant rejection?

Hi, hi bigger lie

To hide mischievous actions

Crooked politicians getting by

Amid co-conspiratorial factions

Hi, hi the biggest lies

Are the ones we tell ourselves

Our downfall should be no surprise

On deception's carousel

DroneFingers

The Lie Becomes the Foundation

"When it comes to controlling human beings there is no better instrument than lies. Because you see, humans live by beliefs. And beliefs can be manipulated." Michael Ende

THE LIE BECOMES THE FOUNDATION

Alas, I had been led astray

But it is I who must be blamed

Because I believe in what they say

Using only half my brain

Research is time consuming

Questions are so intrusive

I end up just assuming

Nothing said was inconclusive

I allow the manipulation

And expect all said is true

Without deliberation

That the facts might be askew

Liars become the leaders

What else should we expect?

We have come to accept the cheaters

Because the truth has no respect

The lies became the foundation

In this nation facing a crash

Truth needs consideration

And the lies deserve the trash

SAY IT AIN'T SO BUT SAY IT RIGHT

"Quite frankly, I think political correctness is the worst form of censorship. You are not allowed to speak your mind unless you're black, or unless you're a terrorist, or unless you're an Arab or a minority people. Then you can say what you like. But if you are a lot like us you are not supposed to say certain things." Wilber Smith

SAY IT AIN'T SO BUT SAY IT RIGHT

Don't you dare say Merry Christmas!

How offensive can you be?

Keep God out of our schools

In there you're on your own, you see

Giving the police a good description

After someone robbed you with a gun

Can't mention if he's black or white

He's just another one

We are in a war on women

Allah trumps our God

Race can't be a factor

It's becoming more than odd

No one is to wear a label

Though they still are what they are

Don't call them illegal aliens

Or, by God, you've gone too far

Your every word you must edit

It's getting very hard

For with every action in this world

Is playing some kind of card

But it always seems Caucasians

Are being labeled white

When you know they are really flesh tones

If you really want to get it right

They have included all our children

In this political correctness gloom

In school they do their ones and twos

In the gender neutral room

My quote on common sense.

"With common sense you acquire the appropriate knowledge needed to not only survive, but contribute."

My quotes 10/26/14

"I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary. The evil it does is permanent." -Mahatma Gandhi

So true, this quote. But we can never just stand by and watch the evil do their thing. Violence has become a way of life and sometimes it takes the violence brought on by good people to quell the ever advancing violence of the evil.

"Other things may change us, but we start and end with family." -Anthony Brandt

"We began as a very unique tribe. We went our separate ways, were influenced by separate things, and still have come together with like minds and joined spirit. I love my family!" Marian Beatty

"Happy families are all alike. Every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." -Leo Tolstoy

"There are reasons that make a family tortured and separate them forever. Somehow those same reasons cement another family together in spite of it all." Marian Beatty 10/26/14

Escape

Wayne Dyer..."What we think determines what happens to us, so if we want to change our lives, we need to stretch our minds."

ESCAPE

I tend to be preoccupied

With the sadness around us in a crumbling nation

I find myself mourning the soldiers that died

And it sends me depressed into my frustration

Should it be here I linger in my pain?

With the problems of the world on my shoulders?

Living in this darkness is totally insane

I am not, after all, the Rock of Gibraltar!

It is not that I want to escape my duty

As a citizen with a will to make changes

I need to find time to escape the bullies

That have chased my life into the land of the deranged

There is a time and place for the angst of war

But I need to find a way to expand my mind

And find some peace I've been longing for

And for a moment leave all this hell behind ne

End It With a Party

unknown..."You've got to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad, love what you've got, and remember what you had. Always forgive, but never forget. Learn from your mistakes, but never regret."

END IT WITH A PARTY

It is never all roses and blue skies

Everything is going beautifully then a loved one dies

But you know in your life you've been living well

When at the wake you can laugh like hell

You can escape the sadness in the air

As you bond with real friends who are gathered there

Just forgetting for awhile your loss and pain

And remembering your togetherness on Goodtime Lane

You can embrace the loving memories

And forget for this day your misery

Sending your loved one to Heaven above

Knowing he left with happy stories of love

The Face

In the eight years here alone I stayed

With only my dogs for company

There was no reason to be afraid

No mortal intruder would bother me

Sometimes at night I felt a chill

And sensed faint footsteps above my head

In that lonely room so vacant still

Except for a lamp, a table, a bed

When the dogs barked I wasn't scared

Their protective nature comforts me

But sometimes at night I see them stare

At the ceiling where the vacant room would be

In the winter in the cold of night

Although the fireplace warmed my toes

A chilly presence seemed to wander by

In an instant its here then away it goes

By chance in the autumn of the year

I finished the chores as night time came

I sensed someone looking, but had no fear

When I saw a face behind the window pane

I never considered fleeing my quaint old farm

After the image appeared to smile and say

I'll never do you any harm

If you love it here you are welcome to stay

This has been his home for a century

He built it and cherished it  lovingly

It is here in forever he chooses to be

A ghostly angel resides with me

My quote on knowledge

Too bad we can't have the maturity to absorb the knowledge we crave as seniors when we are young...then use the rest of our lives just being a good influence, saving time to play amid all the goodness we have helped create around us.

It's What We Know

Eric Hoffer..."In a time of drastic change it is the learners who inherit the future. The learned usually find themselves equipped to live in a world that no longer exists."

IT'S  WHAT WE KNOW

They say the strong will inherit the earth

I think it partly wrong, for all it is worth

It will be those who have learned from mistakes of the past

Who teach their children about making life last

Brawn with mere ignorance can't make mankind prevail

It is like a great ship with no wind for her sails

Common sense and integrity are the wind that will blow

Moving the mighty ship with a wake destined to grow

Sitting in darkness are those void of knowledge

With common sense and awareness  you won't need time in college

Reaching for stars with a well rounded mind

Is the prescription for the healing of our failing mankind

No Thinking Allowed Here No More

James Monroe (1758-1831) "LET US by wise and constitutional measures PROMOTE INTELLIGENCE among the people as the best measures of preserving our liberties."

NO THINKING ALLOWED HERE NO MORE!

Had we kept our children wise

And kept abreast of demons in disguise

Had we opened up our eyes

To the ignorance brought on by blatant lies

Indoctrination in our schools

Breed misconception and dumb the fools

Interlopers use propaganda as their tools

And far left loons become stubborn mules

Hold tight dear people and you will see

Dependence isn't better than liberty

The leaders heap upon you free

A life but not your dignity

Brains are left to rot

Hope is gone and goals forgot

Long gone the will to make them stop

And faith and purpose continue to drop

DroneFingers

We Dropped the Ball

James Madison said "Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives." .

WE DROPPED THE BALL

Our forefathers handed us a gift

Won for us by the blood of countless sons

In all the simplicity of those days gone by

They had a vision of what must be done

This new land brought hope

The days of living under a king would end

The people would be in charge

Of opportunities now afforded them

But a certain task they asked of us

To keep the patriot's ship on course

Was that future generations

Keep close to their hearts our nation's source

We were to know the constitution

And adapt it as times would change

But to the letter the ammendments must be

To keep us free of past socialist chains

But over time ignorance grew

We turned to government for want and need

For too many had waived their rights

And let government grow in greed

Perhaps the powers above us see

We are too lazy or busy to know

That the people were to be the power

And we let that priviledge go

Chameleons...commentary and quotes

"Ideologies separate us. Dreams and anguish bring us together." -Eugene Ionesco

This quote is interesting in that it has been Obama's ideology that has driven Americans apart and he has worked hard to continue to divide us. He is well aware that it will be our common anguish that can unite us. His game plan is to cut us off with a new crisis each time we begin to unite over the last crisis. We definitely need a new defensive coordinator.

"Evil is always unspectacular and always human. And shares our bed...and eats at our table." -W.H. Auden

Evil is best spread by masquerading as a common. Ever notice how Obama acts like he is cool? He is a chameleon who adapts to whatever crowd he is facing. He makes people identify with him and gains their trust.

"There are some that only employ words for the purpose of disguising their thoughts." -Voltaire

Oh, and how good is Obama at employing his words and affect to gather in the believers!?  It has been his greatest tool but his words are now tainted by so many lies that they are losing their power to anyone with half a brain. Except for those who benefit from his lies and are bribed into submission with all the freebies the government can provide.

Mold

"Good men are bound by conscience and liberated by accountability." Wes Fessler

MOLD

I look upon our leader

Not with reverence but disgust

He has been a crisis breeder

And has failed to earn our trust

As his party stands and lies for him

The main stream media covers

And though our future continues to dim

We divide from one another

We have seen no sign of conscience

And no accountability

We put up with all this nonsense?

Have we lost all sense of reality?

Weapons walked with Department of Justice approval

Our own died on orders to stand down

Our president golfs while his attention is crucial

And our southern border leaks all around

School indoctrination

Liberal college teachers soil the minds

Abortions bring liberation?

Dependency stagnates all mankind

Mold spreads behind our walls

The deadly spores, our air it permeates

It is all designed to cause the fall

Of a nation now prone to caliphate

GONE, THE TRUST

"Trust, honesty, humility, transparency, and accountability are the building blocks of a positive reputation. Trust is the foundation of any relationship." (Mike Paul)

GONE, THE TRUST

Where is the honesty?

Our power is lost in this new diplomacy

Why is our reputation bust?

People have no trust!

There is no accountability

Our representatives have no integrity

It takes no speculation

About their questionable reputation

As congress stands at stale mate

Our country is driven to seething hate

It's been an era of division

Urged by political decisions

Blame is standard now, these days

And it comes down to the dues we pay

From ignorance and degradation

It has chained a once powerful nation

Humpty Dumpty, as we recall

Fell to pieces from a high stone wall

Is our beloved republic about to repeat

Fractured pieces at our feet?

Truth, honesty, humility,

Transparency and accoubtability

Would end the pure frustration

Of a once proud, free, and powerful nation

Did They Know Their Co-Conspirators?

Glenn Greenwald..."The term propaganda rings melodramatic and exaggerated, but a press that---whether from fear, careerism, or conviction---uncritically recites false government claims and reports them as fact, or treats selected officials with reverence reserved to royalty, cannot be accurately described as engaged in any other function."

DID THEY KNOW THEIR CO-CONSPIRATORS?

Those  to whom we should rely

To report accurately as life goes by

Join forces with agenda seekers

Even if they need to lie

It's like a military mission

Politicians and media conspire

And it doesn't take a genius

To know they all are blatant liars

Who won't believe their favorite anchor

They watch on nightly news?

Even though they are just a mouthpiece

Spreading more progressive views

And all the people who rather not know

Just what the hell is going on

Are sitting soiled in all their ignorance

Too soon they'll see their freedom gone

Then will they wonder where it went?

They thought that all was in its place

The media will be mired in restrictions

Back to them the blame is traced

Walking in lockstep was not our way

But for conspirators who sold the news

And they too will be suffering

As We the People sing the blues

Political Lies Fall a Natio

George Orwell said..."Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind."

POLITICAL LIES FALL A NATION

They speak we say speak

Speeches meant to confuse the issues

Let's try speak and lie speak

Break out the tissues

Misuse all confuse all

Politicians lost in their fantasies

Tales tall we all fall

Who pays? Just humanity!

Take note, we can all vote

Too often the best stay home

Old senate goats will all gloat

They are so hard to dethrone

Cold air blows, hot air flows

Frustration in another administration

Economy slows, that's how it goes

It's about to collapse a once mighty nation

Days go by, patriots cry

Too many demand their fair share

Benefits sky high, no one will try

Robbing Hood thinks it's fair

And the majority is not aware

Standing on our power.

"Time keeps on slipping slipping slipping into the future" Steve Miller Band

Fear can paralyze even a powerful people. But Obama has made us weak. He has given our enemy power by representing us as apologetic for our conquests. We should not be ashamed that we are a powerful nation that will rise against aggression and wrong. We need to be on our toes and willing to pound our chests behind a powerful, well trained military

"With foxes, we must play the fox." -Thomas Fuller

We need to stand proud and powerful on our past. We should have no regrets that we stood up for ourselves and the people bullied by the likes of Hitler.

"The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you will see" -Winston Churchill

Obama wants us to be shamed of who we were as a world power. That will be the death of us.

"Birds sing after a storm. Why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever sunlight remains to them?" -Rose Kennedy

Our Safe Little Room

"Fear is the cheapest room in the house. I would like to see you live in better conditions." HAFEZ (1325-1389)

OUR SAFE LITTLE ROOM

Where else can we huddle in comfort and fear

But away from things we opt not to hear

Behind closed doors we are safe and warm

Away from the world's chaotic storm

Tucked away safe and sound

Closing our eyes to the world around us

Together we hide and fill our ears

With only good things we choose to hear

But what do I sense outside my door?

Are we the prey the beast is searching for?

Perhaps in our comfort of innocent denial

We have put in peril our hope for survival

Continued comfort will cease to be

Without the warrior inside of me

Leave the room at times we must

To fend off the evil heaped on us

The Power of Terror

THE POWER OF TERROR

I am but a loud aggressive lamb

Until circumstances made me much bigger than I am

A little bullying I had been prone to do

Becomes terror with stories conveyed to you

So manageable I would in reality be

But now everyone is afraid of me

I have morphed into a beast to fear

Based on stories the people hear

Now that thugs have joined my cause

The world of cowards must now take pause

Perception of power are my muscle, you see

I have the world afraid of me

The Past Should Be Just That

"There's a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the negro race before the public. Some of these folks do not want the negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well." Booker T. Washington (1865-1915)

THE PAST SHOULD BE JUST THAT

How prophetic was he, Booker T.

Knowing how people of his race used their liberty

Grateful and successful some went on to be

Taking advantage of their hard fought dignity

Yet there are some who still choose to wear chains

Dwelling on bitterness that in memories remain

Using past indiscretions of our ancestors for their gain

Choosing instead of liberty that for our great grandfathers we explain

And our history will haunt us as still a prejudice prevails

In those who harbor hate and that fact is thinly veiled

It has always been the same free air every ethnic group has inhaled

It's time to know our freedom and upon no cross be nailed

Blindfolded when we touch the skin all feels the same

It is time to bury the past that was brutally insane

We should all be pulling together as free Americans who reign

Singing songs of unity aboard the freedom train

Personal responsibility is truely where it's at

Offer and accept apologies and and just let the past be that.

Terror

"There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it." -Alfred Hitchcock

THE REASON TERRORISTS WIN

If only one victim falls after a terrorist threat

And the odds are against each individual's demise

Just the thought that randomly anyone can lose his head

Is all that a terrorists needs to victimize

It could be any one of us on any corner

It need not be hundreds that die

It is that we all have been brutally warned

In a bloody film prepared for our fearful eyes

Realizing our Responsibilities

"Our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this planet. We all breath the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal" -John F. Kennedy

REALIZING OUR RESPONSIBILITIES

We are but children of God

We are different as well as the same

Somehow we have become all Americans

But for some it is only in name

In the common air we breathe

Shouldn't we all be expected to contribute?

Charity must always come from the heart

And our gains not be forced to distribute

We are all mortal and prone to mistakes

The consequences land upon us all

But we should keep our children in mind

It's on their shoulders our decisions will fall

The Citizens are the Mighty

"He who controls others may be powerful but he who has mastered himself is mightier still." -Lao Tzu

THE CITIZENS ARE THE MIGHTY

He gathered the votes through devious means

Racial shame was but one reason he reigns

A mere community organizer

Has led our country to countless pains

He may be powerful in his position

And we bow to him out of respect

But only that he sits in such status

And it is reverence that the citizens expect

Have we stood in error with the protocol?

Should his title give him such control?

Perhaps it is time to name him the source

As to why we continue to fall

Yes, the office deserves certain honor

But the man who sits there must be

One who himself honors the office

And stands to fight for our liberty

We must certainly be our own masters

And recognize our ultimate goal

Is for the best of our country

And it is We, the People in control

The Tribe

We sure do have an awesome family. Thank you Dessip and 3lover for making the long trip home.

Love to all.

THE TRIBE

They once lived together in a great big house

Spirited children with their own agendas

Times were good at 43 South

We did things to forever remember

Typical of families we had to part

Growing into new relationships and adventures

All children become grown and must embark

Into new eras of toil and splendor

Fortunate were we to reconnect

And find our love that hid so dormant

We found it pleasing to recollect

That our love for one another is important

Blessed are we to have these ties

Thank keep us close and bind us

Laughing about good times gone by

That we thought had been lost behind us

I feel a special aura around us

In those special times we can meet

I experience a familiar love surround us

As our memories we try to repeat

Children are we amid the laughter

Telling stories again and again

It is odd that among the stones we linger

In the little town where we'd once been

It is fun to play the part of clowns

With too many years behind us

Feeling the love that has no bounds

Sharing these memories to remind us

Conspirators

April 27th speech by JFK..."WITHOUT debate, without criticism, no administration and no country can succeed...and NO REPUBLIC CAN SURVIVE! That is why the Athenian lawmaker Solon decreed it a crime for any citizen to shrink from controversy. And that is why our press was protected by the first amendment...THE ONLY business in America specifically protected by the constitution...not primarily to amuse and entertain, not to emphasize the trivial and sentimental, not to simply 'give the public what it wants'....BUT TO INFORM, TO AROUSE, TO REFLECT, TO STATE OUR DANGERS AND OUR OPPORTUNITIES, TO INDICATE OUR CRISES AND OUR CHOICES, TO LEAD, MOLD EDUCATE AND SOMETIMES EVEN ANGER PUBLIC OPINION."

Let not the secrets in a White House hide

Shout from the rooftops, Hark!

Let no people be left in the dark

No leader shall be quiet

Lest the people will rise to riot

No destructive agenda will sneak through

But what, pray tell, has happened here?

Bias contaminates our curious ear

The nightly news spreads his lies

And have become his closest allies

The first amendment meant to protect the press

Has added to the citizens' stress

Feeding bias reports with corrupt sensation

Diversion

Dr. Ben Carson. "We need to understand that we are not each others enemies in this country. And it is ONLY the political class that derives its power by creating friction. It is only the media that derives its importance by creating friction...that uses every little thing to create chasim between people. This is not who we are."

Those in power with clandestine ideals

Use turmoil to alter the people's will

While we look into the destruction before our eyes

Of the leader's awesome duties we sympathise

To muddy the water in the course of their duties

The once peaceful people now with leaders with goals

Are banished into chaos with their bartered souls

Sold out in an anti-American political agenda

Caught up in the promises from a great pretender

It was but a planted idea in a garden of chaos

That led to freedom's demise, liberty lost

As the dogs fought over a single bone

Stealth burglars ransacked their guarded home

1970, the last great class

On Facebook the people from the class of 1970 had news of the loss of two classmates within a couple of days. 62 is too young to pass away. I am just getting started at 62.  We had a long discussion on Facebook leading from those passings and discussing the need to have our forty five year reunion.  These two classmates were not major players in the scheme of things but were being fondly remembered for their humor and the fact they always had a smile.

I always felt insignificant in school. But as we reminisced yesterday it was evident that those of us who added some levity to our sometimes mundane days were definitely part of the whole high school experience that made everyone who we are today. We all had some part in who we all became as adults.

We discussed with sadness how our senior year was marred with the beginning of renewed racial unrest. How friends became divided based on the color of our skin. One teacher told one of the more studious members of our class that we were to be the last great class to come out of Sandusky High School. It turned out to be true.

Drugs, racial division, LBJ's new world order, and extreme politics were taking shape as the class of 1970 set out to make their mark on the world. We were the last of what had been hope and innocence that finally emerged in the fifties after putting two world wars behind us. Fifties rock, community dances, buzzing the ave evolved into the sixties where music continued to move us with the British Invasion, bubble gum rock, Motown.

But in the background were the assassinations of three great leaders, the Vietnam war, the drug culture, religious introspection, and racism rearing its ugly head. Politics were becoming more corrupt and government was growing.

TV brought war and murder right into our households and pornography was on the rise.

Here we are now, only a shell of what our forefathers had laid out in their hopeful plan for a government of the people and for the people in liberty. Did too much liberty create the chaos or did we just misunderstand the concept of it?

A REASON TO SHARE

Should inside my thoughts remain?

What if they think my ideas insane?

The wonderful pleasures I kept within

Were wasted on where alone  I had been

Had I gathered those I loved around me

And shared the dreams that alone astound me

Perhaps that as I lie here dead

There would not be regret for things left unsaid

The great debate on when to share

The things no one around me had been aware

Is evident in the emptiness around you see

And you hear them question "just who was she?"

Anthology of Deception

"Do not consider it proof just because it is written in books, for a liar who will deceive with his tongue will not hesitate to do the same with his pen." Maimonides

RF's dad used to say " Paper lies still, you can write anything on it."

ANTHOLOGY OF DECEPTION

From the beginning of human inception

History was wrought with devious deception

"Take this apple", said Eve to Adam

"I will, thank you madam!

The serpent writhed with devilish laughter

At the sins that would follow them forever after

Politicians take the cake

For the vociferous lies they make

And citizens in apathy lie in wait

For more "free" benefits from the state

Awards for votes and shere devotion

That keep deceptive careers in motion

Lies on paper and on tongues

Gullible believers absorb that dung

Countries crumble beneath the weight

Of falsehoods evil men create

The hopeful people pay the price

Corrupted leaders pulled the heist

My fear

"I fear that instead of this country being a melting pot of people not only required to work but are willing participants in the growth of our great country, we are now just another broken nation in the world melting pot where mid eastern culture is the core and we will continue to shiver under a blanket in fear if Jihad."

Why My Tears Fall

"Before the creation of the welfare state, immigrants who came to this country were for the most part attracted by Americas reputation as a land of freedom and opportunity. Laws and customs that then prevailed REQUIRED immigrants to carve out their individual destinies by their own labor, perserverance, intelligence, and determination." James Thorton From THE NEW AMERICAN 1996

"Detroit is just a preview of what our country will look like if the progressive agenda goes unchecked" M. Beatty

WHY MY TEARS FALL

A land of opportunity, we were

Lady Liberty beckoning the immigrants arriving with hope

Prideful people willing to work

Looking forward to the day they too will vote

New cultures blended in the melting pot

We became a country teeming with diversity

What this country could do for us, ask not

People willing to toil for endless opportunity

Our exceptionalism was once applauded

Our power respected around the world

Patriotism was a virtue not a flaw

Cheers erupted as our flag was unfurled

Lady Liberty now stands woefully tearful

As immigrants arrive to reap welfare benefits

A once proud country now broke and fearful

Progressive policies add to its deficit

Now part of a world melting pot

No longer a power to be feared

Just another broken nation to be forgotten

As fewer remember the days she was once revered

Analogy of a lie

Fantasies are usually much more fun than the truth. What would childhood have been like if we were never treated to white lies about an Easter Bunny or Santa Clause?  How boring would Easter and Christmas have been without these wonderful lies?

Then we are expected ti grow up and have a bland diet of boring truth? People want to have sweetened fantasies even if the sugary lies are bad for us.

Truth is sometimes just bitter medicine. A prescription we need to take routinely every day. It is necessary for our health but opens us up for the sweet taste of a lie for a change.

But lies are a cancer that ultimately kill us

In the Dark

JFK ..."A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people."

IN THE DARK

His actions came from under his bulky cloak

That concealed the lies that he called hope

It was pure deception, what he spoke

That left the country dependent and broke

Scheming partners behind closed doors

Mainly those chosen from Soros' whores

Put in place with dutiful chores

To make the changes we once deplored

Had their plans been righteous, for our good

What they had to do would be understood

But like shadowy figures in the hood

We allowed the changes we once never would

So in the dark we all are mired

Amid those we elected and those they hired

We've become a society under fire

A broken people worn and tired

Lies in the Light

Plato once wrote..."We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light."

LIES IN THE LIGHT

Suppose lies were the darkness where no one could see

That facts were killed and buried there

Afraid to move about sure and free

We sit encumbered and unaware

Think about the brightest light

Where truth and lies are easily discovered

It should be easy to choose wrong from right

And reject the fallacies that become uncovered

It takes but a skillful orator

Who lives to keep us mired in the dark

And in the light his lies are covered

By sweetened promises that warm the heart

So in broad daylight he reels us in

While under the cover of darkness he schemes

That we cannot see past it is our only sin

When eventually our nightmares evolve from our dreams

Challenging times and roadblocks bring

People grasping for any hope in sight

We forget about the poisonous sting

Of lies that shower us in the light

Progress?

"Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves." D. H. Lawerence (1885-1938) English novelist, poet, painter, playwright

This quote is poetry within itself. So sadly true.

PROGRESS?

Men fought for liberty with blood and guns

Thankfully the patriots won

And time slipped by and by and by

Generations of patriots lived and died

Children of patriots in freedom flourished

In assets they thrived as they were nourished

More time slipped by and by and by

Children of patriots lived and died

All too apathetic they began to be

Took for granted their liberty

Now all the patriots had lived and died

Freedom is sadly slipping by

My Outrage

Sarah Palin..."We say keep your change, we will keep our God, our guns, our constitution"

MY OUTRAGE

He told the country that there would be hope and change

They were most likely his last true words

I just hoped what he tried to rearrange

Would never had occured

He has tried to eliminate In God We Trust

And is trying to get our guns

Obamacare is a major bust

And he lied that terrorists are on the run

One crisis after another brews

As his golfing outings increase

His only concern is with Fox News

As he wishes their truth would cease

The Constitution means nothing to him

He thinks congress is a bore

The people? He has no use for them

The country? He has ripped and torn

All that I can hope and pray

Is there are still pieces for repair

And the country survives for another day

And there'll be a decent leader out there

Our Children

"Education is not merely neglected in many of our schools today, but is replaced to a great extent by ideological indoctrination." Thomas Sowell

YOUR CHILDREN

The most precious things in our lives, our children

Should have the best of all we have to give

The greatest love in our hearts

Total devotion as long as we live

Forget the shiny car, your long sought dream

Don't give a thought to that warm fur coat

We shouldn't fret about what we don't have

As long as our children's accomplishment still leave that lump of pride in our throats

Be aware what can come to harm them

Don't  let ideologues steal their thoughts

Teach them well from what you have learned

Teach them their minds cannot be bought
