TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE
Can we take on more than we can handle all by ourselves?
Will our own ideals be forsaken
Once the majority rises to express themselves
Could we have been mistaken?
Did we jump onto a bandwagon too soon?
The music blaring loud
All around there were people dancing
As the music drew a crowd
Is Satan a master musician
Who can play an alluring tune?
Did we fall for his conviction
And trust him way too soon?
If we'd tried harder just to know ourselves
And to ourselves been true
Perhaps we'd not be dancing around the devil
Because it was "the thing" to do
