They target you as you are sleeping
In tunnels they go creeping
There are bombs strapped tightly around their waists
Happy to die if you are erased

It's their life's goal to do us in
Our daily progression is to live in fear

While generals plead to double down
Why must our leader appease them?
It is paramount to treason
Starving children in the mountains dwell
Kidnapped women serve in a living hell
The men are tortured, shot and killed
Yet our president has not had his fill
It is time to stop avoiding this war
With terrorists knocking down our doors
Release the hawk from his peaceful cage
