The atrocities of the past
Fade too fast
Genocide, the homicide that puts a blemish on a people
The young today
Too far away
In time to know just how it feels
Hitler is just a figure in a history book
Manson killed much fewer but gets the look
He was notorious in their time
Stalin and Hitler faded from their minds
It saddens me so the impact
Of such a vile tyrant's act
They are not feared as much today
As killers like OJ
The part of history that should be shared
Is the part that showed how people fared
Millions of Jews snuffed out
In these apathetic times it could happen now
