The Threat

An American author, Chuck Palshanuk, said “When did the future switch from being a promise to a threat?”

The forefathers toiled tirelessly to compile it

Then placed the Constitution in our hands

Government will never again defile us

They will be elected an serve st our demand

We remained a country prosperous and free

Until, like roaches, progressives invaded

With misguided promises they won their seats

As more were installed, our liberty faded

Promises were broken

And our future became a threat

With every progressive word spoken

We can fight or live chained with our regrets
