Washington has become an alien city-state that rules America, and much of the rest of the world, in a way that Rome ruled the Roman Empire.

SOME OF US ARE TRYING

In frustration I wonder who they are

In anger I feel betrayed

In Washington, our capitol

Every function has been delayed

Right won't budge and left is steadfast

The national budget is a mess

The executive branch has seized control

Blame is what the president knows best

Ignorance abounds among the people

Only about half give half a damn

The patriots are trying to educate

The sheeple with their heads in the sand

I wake up each and every morning

To blog and rant and Twitter

Fighting a liberal media

Is what makes us patriots bitter

What goes on inside the capitol

Is clearly a waste of time

Each day remains a standoff

Being played out on our dime

Some of us are trying our best

To right a pirated ship

We will probably die going down with her

While the rest of the people don't give a shit
