IT CAN HAPPEN BECAUSE IT DID
DWIGHT EISENHOWER:
Every step we take toward making the state the caretaker of our lives, by that much we move toward making the state our master
IT CAN HAPPEN BECAUSE IT DID
It is unbelievable, isn't it?
The plot of some far our Hollywood movie...
This could not happen here
We have nothing to fear
Nothing is going to break our liberty
But dig a little deeper and you will find
There is something sinister happening in DC
Liars tell you it's untrue
They are working just for you
It is all up front for all to see
Obamacare was passed with suspicious tactics
Spending has reached astronomical proportions
Secularism on the rise
Christianity under attack
And what's with these government funded abortions?
Good Americans died in Benghazi
Obama kept his fundraising appointment in Vegas
Hillary told the help to stand down
Then they sent lies all over town
Did that blatant cover-up not amaze us?
Tax all the workers to help the poor
Provide the rent for their front door
Although many are fit and able
We put the food on all their tables
Now even we aren't middle class anymore
Apology tours ruin our,reputation
White House parties are a big sensation
I could go on and on and on
About how far out-a-whack this country has gone
And we no longer receive our promised representation
DON'T TAKE ME WRONG
SAMUEL ADAMS:
If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in government, our country will stand in need of its experienced Patriots to prevent its ruin.
DON'T TAKE ME WRONG
There has come a time I thought I'd never see
And chilling fear has swept over me
Those elected in the past had strayed
But common people were aware of the games they played
But now our fearsome time has come
Our once resilient country is overcome
Too many people live in ignorant bliss
Treated to entitlements they merely exist
Too few legislators with common goals
To keep us righteous and search our souls
Too many elected have gone too far
They were selected dispite the liars they are
Then stands a leader without a notion
Who claims to own the magic potion
He claims not to tax, but oh how he spends
Our continuing debt will see no end
Then come the patriots, bleeding red, white, and blue
Weeding out the lies from what is true
Beaten down, called bigots and loons
Forecasting truth of impending doom
Chasing industry to foreign lands
Embracing socialism as Barrack demands
Promising everyone their status will soar
Claiming the rich will feed the poor
Hope and Change is merely a myth
And crooked politicians just plead the fifth
With open borders please be aware
We'll be haven for drugs and terror
Responsibility is ours to shoulder
It is our duty to speak loud and bolder
As for my countrymen, I'm not here to berate them
I'm here as a patriot to educate them
I speak with sadness as I can see
We will no longer know liberty
Our forefathers had made a firm decision
And most have lost their sense of vision

PROTECTED
Oscar Wilde:
Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.
PROTECTED
There are the memories I cherish
True love that shall never perish
Photographs of the best of times
Imprinted in my mind
Precious thoughts unique to us
Things of the heart held in hidden trust
The deepest thoughts unique to me
Inaccessible to any thief
All the possessions I acquire
Aren't the life's blood I require
It's the memories inside I hold
That built my character and marked my soul
From Within
Melody Beattie :
Live your life from your heart. Share from your heart. And your story will touch and heal people’s souls.
FROM WITHIN
Within each and every one of us
Deep in the core of our being
Lives the source of our life
Beating beating beating...
It doles out what is good about us
The most sincere in us it's speaking
It's what touches all we dare to love
Beating beating beating...
The stories from the heart we share
Are sincerely worth believing
It's the truth of how we really feel
Beating beating beating...

DISARMED
James Madison:
Americans have the right and advantage of being armed....unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.
DISARMED
Do we want to be a society
Who has to bow faithfully to His Majesty?
Give up our guns and you will see
We've given up our liberty
OBAMACARE
It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they can not be understood.
James Madison
OBAMACARE
Too many lawmakers legislating
Make laws that ramble with mingled ideals
The results I find quite nauseating
The opposers scream for immediate repeals
Add this add that and be sure to mandate
Until the law is senseless and contrite
The end result is impossible to translate
To the president's delight
Two thousand pages of hidden agendas
Which are meant to dehumanize
A most oppressive result of referenda
Government takeover in disguise
The Affordable Care Act will compromise our rights
An assault on humanity
The future isn't looking bright
Obamacare is a catastrophe

OUR RESPONSIBILITY
Now more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless or corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave and pure, it’s because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in national legislature. If the next centennial does not find us a great nation it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling political forces.
James Garfield (he said this in 1877)
OUR RESPONSIBILITY
Should we tolerate corruption, ignorance, and disruption?
Is it for We the People our congress remains so reckless?
If we tolerate their acts, cronyism, twisting facts
Does it reflect our own political correctness?
If we disregard immorality in our government with regularity
Should not we question our own when we allow this abuse?
Do we accept the commonality of our county's secularity?
Are we not worried about the developement of our youth?
All in all its up to us to rise up and make a fuss
To disallow our government's indiscretions
It's We the People not We the Sheeple standing tough
We're the ones who must right this misdirection

Trapped and Surrendered
It is difficult to free fools from the chains they revere.
Voltaire
TRAPPED AND SURRENDERED
Satisfied with hand-outs they embrace the imprisonment
While hardworking people hold growing resentment
As dependence on welfare and foodstamps grow
So does the debt of the country we know
Citizens in the chains continue to select
The growing beast that feeds them, the socialists they elect
While the country that they steal from will never stay afloat
Down go the patriots who never gave up hope
We will never free the dependant from the chains that they wear
They are happy with their hand-outs so imprisonment is fair
Fools they are, as we see our government grow
Sentenced are We the People as we reach this sad plateau
Minimizing the Truth
Voltaire, a French writer. ( 1694-1778 )
Stand upright, speak thy thoughts, declare the truth thou hast, that all may share. Be bold, proclaim it everywhere; Those who dare
MINIMIZING THE TRUTH
This country of ours was built on hope
Implemented boldly by the best of men
Thinking that honesty would follow their dream
Not believing that liars would laugh at them
Their laughter rings out from the halls of justice
Where outlandish laws are held up for the cronies
It comes down to fact they are just an accomplice
To a congress made up of too many phonies
Congress seats are shared by the good, bad, and ugly
The righteous, the liars, the thieves
When liars and thieves hold majority, quite bluntly
I'm here to tell you we are all quite deceived
At home at The White House the president prevails
Amid the corruption legislation has sold
With abundance of lies our truth has just failed
And the laughter heard from Washington makes our blood run cold
Minimizing the truth has left us more vulnerable
Don't think that the terrorist can't see that
Apology tours and bogus laws are intolerable
As are unbridled spending and ever growing tax
THE RACE
I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he is wrong.
Abraham Lincoln
THE RACE
I have it in my heart to reach for victory
The finish line is there for the taking
The battles that rage in the race show a history
To reach the line first means some truth is forsaken
If success is the trophy and truth is the cost
I'll stand on the sidelines with trustworthy souls
I figure with honesty nothing is lost
And I don't need a race to achieve righteous goals

A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE
Lord Byron said that "Sorrow is knowledge, those who know the most must mourn the deepest."
A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE
Filled with thoughts I'd rather not possess
Knowledge needed but which cause unrest
Mourning time lost with sadness and woe
But knowing inside forward I must go
Also filled with love and joy
Heartfelt experience and individual glory
Celebrated time spent rejecting my woe
Embracing all the good I know
GOD'S GIFTS
:
When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which brought you delight.
Kahlil Gibran
GOD'S GIFTS
And God looked down upon his flock and said
Please my children don't dwell in dread
Search your hearts and you will see
The bountiful gifts I've given thee

SOME OF US ARE TRYING
RICHARD MAYBURY
Washington has become an alien city-state that rules America, and much of the rest of the world, in a way that Rome ruled the Roman Empire.
SOME OF US ARE TRYING
In frustration I wonder who they are
In anger I feel betrayed
In Washington, our capitol
Every function has been delayed
Right won't budge and left is steadfast
The national budget is a mess
The executive branch has seized control
Blame is what the president knows best
Ignorance abounds among the people
Only about half give half a damn
The patriots are trying to educate
The sheeple with their heads in the sand
I wake up each and every morning
To blog and rant and Twitter
Fighting a liberal media
Is what makes us patriots bitter
What goes on inside the capitol
Is clearly a waste of time
Each day remains a standoff
Being played out on our dime
Some of us are trying our best
To right a pirated ship
We will probably die going down with her
While the rest of the people don't give a shit

At Peace
AT PEACE
Existence became an epic journey through time
Sometimes our path led through fields of flowers
But there were always mountains there to climb
Armed with courage we had been empowered
All the tragedies this journey imposed
Tested our courage in many ways
With each triumph our courage grows
With each victory our Lord we praised
In peace we met our final day
The memories of strife is there to remind us
Gone are reasons to be led astray
We have put the perils of life behind us
The End is Easy
John Kennedy:
The courage of life is often a less dramatic spectacle than the courage of a final moment, but it is no less a magnificent mixture of triumph and tragedy.
Love this quote. I think he is saying that the courage it takes to face everything you have ever learned and have been conditioned to with faith on your dying day is nothing compared to the courage it took to face everything fate throws at us throughout our lives.
The End is Easy
As inconsistancy of life prevails
Smoothly things may come and go
Surprised by what each day unveils
Facing another moment unknown
It takes more courage to just live and be
Than to face the end with only faith
We live prepared for eternity
But endure the unknown life has in place
The end is easy when we move on
What happens next is the only question
What we had faced in days now gone
Took all we had to endure each lesson

My Gratitude
So much has been given to me. I have not time to ponder over that which has been denied.
Helen Keller
I've been blessed with all the riches money cannot buy
Wallow in what I've lost, I won't even try
Happy tears, not sad tears taste better when I cry
I'll never regret what I never had, and now I know why
Possessions never made me who I am
Trophies gather dust so I no longer feel I have to win
Jealousy and bitterness would be sure to do me in
Accepting what comes from another's heart is surely not a sin
The friendships that remained when adversity I found
The hands that reached out when I tumbled to the ground
To look up and see all my loved ones still around
Are for who my gratitude and prayers are Heaven bound
I have no time to lament the perception of negative deeds
Loving people around me is really what I need
It doesn't get me anywhere to be frustrated by the greed
As long as I have God, only gratitude will I bleed
What Matters
If you went to your closet today, would you pull out the same outfit you wore 10 or 15 years ago? You wear faith and feelings differently as well.
Amy Grant
What Matters
Pin curls and crew cuts have long been gone
Model-T's are a part of history
Pink flamingos are not adorning our lawns
No one listens to radio mysteries
Minds change, times change, looks change, people change
Even the best will never remain the same
Ideas come, tastes improve, marriages fail, styles become more strange
While some grow angry, others go tame
Faith ignored, faith found, faith questioned, faith embraced
Circumstances rule the beat of the heart
We follow a map where our dreams have been traced
And faith matters at the end and not at the start

THE REWARD
There she lies on her narrow bed
A pillow cradling her wrinkled face
Close cropped gray hair upon her head
She fought so hard against this place
Her phone calls used to last for hours
Her soaps always blared from her tv
Surrounded on occasions by many flowers
She passes her time as well as can be
She is comforted by the photographs
Of her grandchildren wearing big broad smiles
It doesn't take much to make her laugh
Each day she becomes more like a child
She misses her little dog, he passed away
He was by her side to spoil and mother
She wrote poem about Solomon's final day
With her failing health she could not get another
Special occasions we all celebrated
Well attended parties brought about funny tales
Now those occassions are overrated
They mean nothing to her as her mind fails
Gladly I remember my younger days
She played her rock and roll music for all the kids
Sadly I see her slipping away
Is this the reward for how she lived?
DC
Is corruption a disease spread by devils who infiltrate Washington, DC?
Is the epicenter of hell where our capitol sits?
Most of the devils seem to mingle among politicians
Is it there those we elected will most likely sell their souls?
HELL IS HERE ON EARTH
HELL IS HERE ON EARTH
There are echoes off the walls of hell
Where few devils are apt to stay
Most are busy corrupting the mortals
It is among us they prefer to play
Dancing with the vulnerable
Leading the confused to join their band
They steal the souls from paradise
Those teetering and reaching for a hand
But the devils always hit a wall
God welcomes even those who have strayed
Hell shall remain an empty hall
Because no one has ever stayed
SELLING OUR SOULS
SELLING OUR SOULS
The basement is where the fire of evil
Lures wicked souls and corrupted minds
But the devils prefer to spread their disease
So it is among us they scatter their kind
Have you ever heard of hell on earth?
Yes it is here the devils dwell
Knowing there are those of us
Who have rotting souls to sell

Individuals, a Minority
QUOTE
The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities. Ayn Rand
If not for ourselves will we stand for our rights
We the Individual facing civil plight
If not for ourselves should we take our stand
How can We the People make our demands?
We the Individual are a righteous minority
And will not advance claiming inferiority
If a stand for individuals fails to ascend
It's not for minorities we claim to defend

THE CAUSE
To succeed in your mission, you must have a single minded devotion to your goal.
Abdul Kalam (11th president of India, born 1931)
THE CAUSE
Now is the time, my friends
If ever there was
To take a firm stand
And embrace the cause
Our country is in peril
At the hands of those elected
Who initially their lies
Somehow went undetected
They have firmly taken hold
To enact self serving, oppressive laws
If ever we were to understand
There is a need to unite with cause
It is our country's future
And the liberty of our spawn
That we rise to the occasion
And with vigor take them on
Patriotism
A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history.
Mahatma Ghandi
In the heart of man
Is a fire within his soul
Ignited by the faith
Which drives him to his goal
In the mind of man
Resides the knowledge he acquired
That justifies his faith
To take the course that is required
Within his entire being
His truth drives his mission
For his passion and his patriotism
Is what fuel his life's ambition

Executive orders
THESE ARE THINGS THAT WILL DIRECTLY AFFECT US ALL FOR YEARS.
FOR THE SHOCK OF YOUR LIFE, PLEASE READ BELOW, and take a minute to comprehend what you are reading!
EXECUTIVE ORDERS issued by U.S. Presidents in 100+/-years: Teddy Roosevelt - 3 All Others until FDR - 0 FDR - 11 in 16 years Truman - 5 in 7 years Ike - 2 in 8 years Kennedy - 4 in 3 years LBJ - 4 in 5 years Nixon - 1 in 6 years Ford - 3 in 2 years Carter - 3 in 4 years Reagan - 5 in 8 years G.H.W. Bush - 3 in 4 years Clinton - 15 in 8 years George W. Bush - 62 in 8 years Obama - 923 in 3 1/2 years!
The Executive Branch usurps the Legislative Branch. Very Scary... 923 Executive Orders in 40 Months... During our lifetime, all Presidents have issued Executive Orders. For various reasons, some have issued more than others.
YES, THERE IS A REASON THAT THE PRESIDENT IS DETERMINED TO TAKE CONTROL AWAY FROM THE HOUSE AND THE SENATE. Even some Democrats in the House have turned on him, plus a very small number of Democrat Senators have questioned him. Rightfully so -WHAT IS OBAMA REALLY TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH????
Remember what he told Russia's Putin: "I'll be more flexible after I'm re-elected".
What did Congress do in those 40 months? The House -considerable... The Senate -almost nothing, not even a budget nor allow any House Bill to be considered.
PLEASE look at these few more serious orders:
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990: allows the government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995: allows the government to seize and control the communication media.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997: allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998: allows the government to take over all food resources and farms.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000: allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001: allows the government to take over all health, education and welfare functions.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002: designates the registration of all persons Postmaster General is to operate a national registration.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003: allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004: allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations!!!
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005: allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049: assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051: specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310: grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921: allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months!!!
Feel free to verify the "executive orders" at will.....and these are just the major ones. I'm sure you've all heard the tale of the "Frog in the Pot"... Watch President Obama's actions, not his words! By his actions he will show you where America is headed. Just recently, Obama has issued a new executive order that seeks to "harmonize" U.S. economic regulations with the rest of the world. This new executive order is yet another incremental step that is pushing us closer to a North American Union and a one world economic system. Unfortunately, most Americans have absolutely no idea what is happening.
The American people need to understand that President Barack Obama is constantly looking for ways to integrate the United States more deeply with the rest of the world. The globalization of the world economy has accelerated under Obama, and this latest executive order represents a fundamental change in U.S. economic policy. Now federal regulators will be required to "harmonize" their work with the international community. It's 'share USA wealth' with all third world countries - many Muslim.
IF THIS IS DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE, THEN PROVE TO YOURSELF IT'S WRONG -GOOGLE IT!
Next step - Dictatorship?
Looks like we are close to being there
Pledge of Allegiance by Sen. John McCain
I n light of the recent appeals court ruling in California , with respect to the Pledge of Allegiance, the following recollection from Senator John McCain is very appropriate:
"The Pledge of Allegiance" -by Senator John McCain
As you may know, I spent five and one half years as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. In the early years of our imprisonment, the NVA kept us in solitary confinement, or two or three to a cell. In 1971 the NVA moved us from these conditions of isolation into large rooms with as many as 30 to 40 men to a room. This was, as you can imagine, a wonderful change and was a direct result of the efforts of millions of Americans on behalf of a few hundred POWs 10,000 miles from home. One of the men who moved into my room was a young man named Mike Christian. Mike came from a small town near Selma , Alabama . He didn't wear a pair of shoes until he was 13 years old. At 17, he enlisted in the US Navy. He later earned a commission by going to Officer Training School . Then he became a Naval Flight Officer and was shot down and captured in 1967. Mike had a keen and deep appreciation of the opportunities this country and our military provide for people who want to work and want to succeed. As part of the change in treatment, the Vietnamese allowed some prisoners to receive packages from home. In some of these packages were handkerchiefs, scarves and other items of clothing. Mike got himself a bamboo needle. Over a period of a couple of months, he created an American flag and sewed on the inside of his shirt. Every afternoon, before we had a bowl of soup, we would hang Mike's shirt on the wall of the cell and say the Pledge of Allegiance. I know the Pledge of Allegiance may not seem the most important part of our day now, but I can assure you that in that stark cell it was indeed a most important and meaningful event. One day the Vietnamese searched our cell, as they did periodically, and discovered Mike's shirt with the flag sewn inside, and removed it. That evening they returned, opened the door of the cell, and for the benefit of all of us, beat Mike Christian severely for the next couple of hours. Then they opened the door of the cell and threw him in. We cleaned him up as well as we could. The cell in which we lived had a concrete slab in the middle on which we slept. Four naked light bulbs hung in each corner of the room. As I said, we tried to clean up Mike as well as we could. After the excitement had died down, I looked in the corner of the room, and sitting there beneath that dim light bulb with a piece of red cloth, another shirt and his bamboo needle, was my friend, Mike Christian. He was sitting there with his eyes almost shut from the beating he had received, making another American flag. He was not making the flag because it made Mike Christian feel better. He was making that flag because he knew how important it was to us to be able to pledge our allegiance to our flag and our country. So the next time you say the Pledge of Allegiance, you must never forget the sacrifice and courage that thousands of Americans have made to build our nation and promote freedom around the world. You must remember our duty, our honor, and our country. "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." PASS THIS ON....and on....and on! You can even send it back to me, I don't mind, because it’s worth reading again.

STAND
Today I have a word from THOMAS JEFFERSON which I find to be quite interesting.
If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey but, he is obligated to do so.
STAND
We are the chauffeurs of our life
The architects of our destiny
The keepers if our freedom
And should protect it all aggressively
When attempts are made to nullify
The words our founders penned
We are within our moral rights to justify
To fight the changes to an end

STORMS
STORMS
Such restrained power a storm will bring
Chastising everything in its path with torrential rain
Calling us out with its booming voice
Retreating inside, our only choice
The streaks that illuminate a darkened sky
Leave an impression as the storms pass by
There is no denying the awe and wonder
As it rolls away amid its fading thunder
GAIN THROUGH PAIN
Tragedy is a tool for the living to gain wisdom, not a guide by which to live.
Robert Kennedy
GAIN THROUGH PAIN
Another tragedy has fallen into our lives
More sadness in the voices to speak
News anchors bring every detail into our homes
Where do people turn for the comfort they seek?
The human induced pain we bear shows our weakness
We grow stronger driven by the sadness
The knives twisting into our guts prove this is no way to live
We must survive and shun the madness
Questions
In these times you have to be an optimist to open your eyes when you awake in the morning.
Carl Sandburg
Where will the next war spring into action?
With whom will the next new controversy begin?
Why will people keep killing innocent others?
When will the days of bigotry end?
Will my steadfast optimism get me through another day?
Is there still an ounce of faith in my heart?
Why is my will so tested and tried?
How will I set ugliness and wonder apart?
New Challenges
The darkness fades
Silently, silently
The sun peeks in
Quietly, quietly
Until morning song breaks into the air
Choirs of birds with greetings to share
Dreams fade away
Seamlessly, seamlessly
People are stirring
Reluctantly stirring
I rise from my pillow , wipe the sleep from my eyes
Anxious to meet a new daily surprise
Thanking God sincerely for new challenges that arise

Lost
Lost
A ship had sailed across the sea
Steady as she goes, our family
All hands on deck, together our crew
Knew exactly what to say and do
We lost our anchor so could never stay
Forever on the move, day by day
As seas were sailed the storms had spoken
From time and elements the mast was broken
Without direction for a destination
The crew would suffer from mere frustration
Random storms had broken our spirit
Our beloved sea had made us fear it
Until the day we crashed ashore
The crew remained the same no more

ACCEPT YOUR PEACE
Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time
Soft clouds floating against a deep blue sky
Serenity steps in and you will never ask why
Silence is golden as this peace swims by
It could be a miracle,
Accept it, don't pry
BE A HERO
Sometimes you have to be your own hero. (anonymous)
BE A HERO
You can wait for your true love
As you nurse an empty heart
You can hope to make new friends0
But don't know where to start
One would need to have found his savior
It takes faith, you must be strong
If you are waiting for a hero
You will be waiting much too long
At first you need to love yourself
And reach out to make new friends
Unless you're filled with confidence
Your life is just pretend
It takes faith to find your savior
And all the trust you have in you
You'll find inside a hero
Who will come to your rescue

MOVING ON
QUOTE
The fatal metaphor of progress, which means leaving things behind us, has utterly obscured the real idea of growth, which means leaving things inside us.
Gilbert Chesterson English Writer 1874-1936
MOVING ON
Progress brings us forward
Changes come with time
Is life as you had ordered?
Do you cling to memories inside?
So glad so many seem
To leave the past behind them
How sad so many have been
Clinging to things that will remind them
If only in the past
We are willing to survive, then
How long can memories last
For those not willing to revive them
A heart has endless storage
For all that ever mattered
But we all must have the courage
To live another chapter

DREAMS MEET REALITY
The quote is from John Dewey, an American Philosopher. 1859-1952.
Time and memory are true artists, they remold reality nearer to the heart’s desire.
DREAMS MEET REALITY
Amid the creative gremlins of the mind
Rearranging the realities to suit one's expectations
Are hopes and dreams anyone might find
That one will see looking back at his reflection
Time brings experiences that actually occurred
Memories, of course, are sugar-coated
Reality is easy to become obscured
And the facts become easily demoted
You are the artist of the portrait of yourself
The book of truth based on the fiction of desires
You have the creation displayed on your shelf
Made from the clay you molded and fired
Somewhere along the way reality meets your dreams
And you are the result standing there
A concoction of of facts and your heartfelt schemes
Become the person you prefer to share
Commentary:
It took me much longer to write this poem than usual. I found the quote very interesting and knew what I wanted to say but wanted to say it in a certain way.
Seems to me people are a creation of time, influence, genetics, and personal aspirations brought about by the combination there of.
There is overall honesty in the presentation of one's self, but there are white lies mixed in to hide a person's own disappointment with himself. Or perhaps to disguise what has brought about the disappointment of his peers.
Then there are those who are one big lie with very little reality showing. Obama perhaps?
Really, you can look at a plastic person who may have been brought up in a poor family trying so hard to recreate themselves that there is little truth left in that person. It can go so many ways, the rich kid ashamed of his entitlements, the gay kid who wants so much to please his loved ones he never lives as his true self. The politician denying his true path to please his party, or the spouse who stays with someone they don't love because there is more to gain financially or in status than they can get following their true passion.
How many people do we know are living with some degree of fiction? I'd say 100%.

HARDSHIP GROWS CHARACTER
C.S. Lewis.
Hardship often prepares an ordinary person for an extraordinary destiny.
Hardship Grows Character
His life inside a shell is safe indeed
He is given all he ever needs
Irresponsible and too soft to compete
Does he really believe his life is complete?
Walking around and around inside the fence
Never a need for self defense
Penned inside and cannot run
Never free to get something done
Being gentle is not the same
As being able to play the game
Competitors challenge and go untouched
He has never had to fight too much
A man who faces tumultuous times
Fighting back against modern crimes
He has grown through hardship a stronger man
He has learned to fall and stand again
Gentle inside but tough enough
Wary enough to show mistrust
Hardened by his life experience
Yet understanding those who lack significance

Another Anniversary 911
Each year I write a heartfelt poem
From the safety of my home sweet home
About the tragedy of nine one one
That changed the old and scarred our young
Therr is nothing more inside me to say
Of the pain that gripped me on that day
About the sanctity of life forever foiled
When the terrorist bloodied our sacred soil
I will spend this day like everyone
Seeing the images again rerun
And add my prayers through heartfelt tears
For innocence lost forever through hate and fear
Inherited
Out of the depths of sorrow and sacrifice will be born the glory of mankind again. Winston Churchill
Sadness, despair
Who are these men who take us there?
As the world revolves
Evil evolves
Innocents suffer and IT IS NOT FAIR!
Amusement parks and candy canes
Such happiness there is to gain
Yet bad seeds thrive
With plans contrived
To bring into this world more tragedy and pain
Innocent baby, proud parents
But what will this fresh new child inherit
Will oppression smother our children's free will?
Will liberty be an option still?
In a global society that has gone barbaric

NOW IS THE TIME
from Thomas Sowell:
Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it.
NOW IS THE TIME
Now is the time they pounce
Set the traps and gather the prey
Drain us of our pride, each ounce
Control what we dare to do and say
We the People are you aware
It's a plan to divide and conquer?
Can it be we really just don't care?
Or just afraid we've lost our honor?
As charismatic as he seems
The lies he reads on his teleprompter
Spread the socialistic disease
They will weaken the people, step in, and conquer
Please heed the warnings of countrymen
With The Constitution in their hands
Take the time to comprehend
Rise with the patriots and take a stand
THE DIVIDED STATES OF AMERICA
THEODORE WHITE/AUTHOR
Socialism is the belief and the hope that by proper use of government power, men can be rescued from their helplessness in the wild cycling cruelty of depression and boom.
Commentary by Marian Beatty
American Patriot:
Taking care of a people is the best way to take charge of them. The best time for government to get their foot in the door is when there is a downturn in an economy. Socialist jump at this chance and I believe this is why people like George Soros work so hard to collapse economies.
The most powerful and successful country has been the United States. After having collapsed and socialized the rest of the world, their sights are now set on the biggest trophy of all...The United States of America.
Face it, we would not be looking down this barrel of government control had our economy been thriving. The government has stepped in and taken advantage of the people who have lost treasure and hope. It is those people they use as votes to get the progressives into office and continue to tax, regulate, and literally overtake our Democratic society.
Once the government controls industry, health care, and get the guns they will have the ball in their court. They have already managed to divide us and control half the people with the cheese waved beneath their noses. Soon the cheese will be sitting on a trap and our society will be captured. That is when we will be The Divided States if America.
Those of us who reject the cheese have an uphill battle. Carry on Patriots.

CHAMPIONS
CHAMPIONS
While chaos has gripped our country
And dictators have taken the helm
We were too immersed in our selfishness
To notice our country fell
Now it's too late to remember
How champions got things done
We were so busy being ordinary
That now it is prisoners we have become
COMPLACENCY
When a nation goes down, or a society perishes, one condition may always be found; they forgot where they came from. They lost sight of what had brought them along.
Carl Sandburg
American Writer & Editor, best known for his poetry
COMPLACENCY
When life has become so typical
And days just pass us by
We fail to even notice the sun has set
It is too redundant to watch it rise
While autumn leaves are falling
After the colors decorated the landscape
It was lost to all our senses
While on mindless habits we'd concentrate
When was the last time we remembered
The roots from which we evolved?
Has it been too long since our hearts beat faster
Seeing the world where we are involved?
How many pasts are forgotten
In the rat race we choose to run?
Will we die never having noticed
All the wonders that have come and gone?

Memories
He that plants trees loves others besides himself.
Thomas Fuller
Memories
Here is one for dad
The blue spruce in the middle of my yard
He grows slowly but will someday be mighty
The one who will be standing guard
These two willows are for my brother
As I will always weep for his sadness
When I see them sway and rustle in the breeze
I'll pray he was happy to escape all his madness
These fruit trees represent a bountiful life
In honor of the people I adore
The fruit that they bear I appreciate
Almost as much as the people I planted them for
This silver maple is for us
Standing proudly marking time as we do
She rattles her leaves when we're happy
She droops in the rain when we're blue
Trees spur my loving memories
Monuments to those who are a part if me
Their beauty and life they represent
Will always warm the heart in me

INVOLVED
Years of involvement in the Middle East conflicts have emphasised the ability of any U.S. President to control conflicts once they’re started.
INVOLVED
As the Middle East continues to boil
And murderous.leaders show contemptuous eyes
Over hateful vermin in the land of oil
Their own people they despise
Our narcicistic leader draws a line
That foreign terrorist cross again snd again
Until they push his buttons just one more time
To provoke him to action
He lies about an attack he plans
That will bring us into war
He says it will be swift and not expand
"Let me punish them!" he implores
He intends to move forward
Although We the People tell him no
The votes in congress mean nothing
When our president decides to go
Syria you are next in line
We're going to slap you on the butt
Just like we do to anyone
Who in defiance try to strut
And believe me it won't be swift and sure
Soon the boots will be on the ground
To send our children into harm
As Obama doubles down
Another war in another land
To which we owe no allegiance
A waste of treasure and a maiming of man
To aid terrorists and demons
EVENTS
RALPH WALDO EMERSON:
Events are in the saddle and ride mankind.
EVENTS
It does not matter what
It does not matter when
There is no reason why
Or attempt to even pretend
Whatever it happens to be
In whatever form presented
The event is going to own you
When left casually unattended

UNBELIEVABLE
That we would be on the verge of collapse
That hate would be raising its ugly head
That pointed fingers say that YOU are a bigot
That people are becoming vegetables living off another's toil
Have we degraded ourselves to such a degree
That taking is becoming an art?
How did such chaos happen to be
Where, why, when, how did this all start?
OBAMA
Wayne Allyn Root:
Yes, my fellow Americans, the White House is down, Olympus has fallen and America is being destroyed from within. Who needs terrorist? Obama’s plan is much more efficient.
Obama
History in the making
Liberty for the taking
It was not what we expected
Not anything his outer demeanor reflected
Our country faces ruin
In all that he's been doing
It's been all about his own dreams
The implementation of his schemes
He thinks he's the Lone Ranger
But he puts us all in danger
Making decisions without legislation
About his social reorganization
As Charismatic as he can be
Outstanding father from what we see
He sells our souls on China loans
Racial tension he wants and condones
This us what the people were dealt
When liberals voted how they felt
Now our Titanic is going down
As our evil leader dances round and round

UNQUESTIONED
UNQUESTIONED
For my country I would grab my sword
I'd ride into battle, no question
Would I follow this leader, confused as he is
Into wars created through deception?
For my country I would lay down my life
But before battle goes any deeper
Perhaps we should question the direction we travel
Via the maps of a confused, derelict leader
CHOICES BY THE NUMBERS
A good decision is based on knowledge and not on numbers. Plato
CHOICES BY THE NUMBERS
Numbers, numbers
Where are they from?
Do they count the intelligent
Or poll all the dumb?
Do they look at the questionnaires
All stacked on a table
Decide not to read them
No time, they're not able
They read one or two
Estimate a perspective
Is there any wonder
The numbers are deceptive.?
The people base decisions
On numbers presented
The numbers are skewed
To what side their intended
Choices by the numbers
Are proven to reveal
Those who manipulate them most
Get the best of the deal

THE GREATEST CON OF ALL
THE GREATEST CON OF ALL
From the time he first stepped on the podium
Asking for your precious votes
With his charisma and smile he owned you
As he shared his false promises from his notes
The history in the making felt awesome
The vigor in his step spurred excitement
Most of us threw aside all our caution
His ideas were a fresh breath of enticement
Promises of hope and change somehow gripped us
While troubled times had us angry and confused
Of our freedom we found he has stripped us
With all of the tricks that he used
THE CONNING POLITICIAN
Good cons are based on the victim’s need, and the successful con artist is the one, I guess, who can exploit that. I remember reading something about this, that one of the great traits of confident tricksters is the level that they flatter their victims.
Alfred Molina/1953/British Actor
Tell the sweet lies
Flowery untruths
Flatter their knowledge
Smile and seduce
Convince them with candy
Provide them their meals
Keep them rocked back
On their uncertain heels
Point out the hate
Tell them they are victims
While you keep shaking the fence
Of where they've been sitting
Fudge all the numbers
Demure at their praise
Promise that taxes
Will never be raised
Direct pointed fingers
At those who reveal
Your entire agenda
Is the liberty you steal
Promise them dreams
Will surely come true
Hide from them all
The con artist in you

UNCERTAINTY
Uncertainty is the worst of al evils until the moment when reality makes us regret uncertainty
The quote is from ALPHONSE KARR. He was a French Critic from long ago. (1808-1890)
UNCERTAINTY
I wring my hands in a feeling of uncertainty
My intuition is leaning to some kind of reality
My stomach in knots makes me squirm and sweat
How much more apprehensive can I get?
Thoughts swirl around inside my head
Too often my perception leads toward dread
Who knows? Everything may be fine.
Am I afraid or excited? Where do I cross the line?
When it finally comes to some kind of fruition
Will the outcome belie my own intuition?
Will it mean little, the subject of my uncertainty?
It very well could be the end of all humanity.

INTUITION
Intuition becomes increasingly valuable in the new information society precisely because there is so much data.
John Naisbitt
American Author & Public Speaker
Intuition
So much data to process
Far too much to know
Sometimes it just takes common sense
To challenge the status quo
A reasonable intuition
Developed through life experience
Can move forward our intentions
Backed by our ever growing confidence
Not all situations can rely on data
When sheer numbers have it veiled
When facts begin to overtake you
Your heart should show what truth prevails

YOUR STEPS
First steps tentative, a challenge, a victory
All steps from now on could be devine
One can spend life leaning on a cane made of hickory
Or sitting it out with a glass full of whine
Giant steps taking you beyond your ideals
May be worse than baby steps, afraid to proceed
Once you realize your steps are your wheels
Reverse gear is seldom in need
Bold steps, informed steps, on to your certainty
Sure steps your quest will entail
Stepping with others away from your vanity
In life marching forward, you'll prevail
POTENTIAL
Each day we question our own existence before we realize we are here to achieve our potential. How many of us do?
POTENTIAL
What can such a simple man
Achieve with such an ordinary hand?
How much time can he engage?
How often will he turn the page?
God is not one to expect
The greatest achievements to every degree
He accepts a man who shows respect
And attempts the potential he can likely be
WHY AM I HERE?
We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that, deep inside us, something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy or our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the Human Experience.
WHY AM I HERE
I often wondered who I am
It is often times I speculate
How did this world of ours begin
Is there a reason for this space I take?
What is so good about me
That I am part of all of this?
Who am I supposed to be?
Who chose what reason I exist?
Is it right that I should question why?
Instead of just trying to do the best I can
I am not here to just merely comply
But to reach the heights of a better man
