Forward they go

Sure of themselves
With nothing to stand on
Fools and fanatics
With unscrupulous notions
Are destroying our Republic
We are set for implosion
The wiser of people
Take time for some thought
Preserving the liberty
We forever have sought
Riddled with doubt
About how to proceed
Taking the time
To do what they need
The fool's and fanatics
Destroy at will
While the ones with the answers
