Sadly Now I Stand Alone
It used to be a happy people, one day.
We mingled with one another as we watched our children play.
Then came the soldier with guns in tow
They picked out all the Jews and told them they must go
They came again and took the atheists
And in the next week they seized the pacifists
I did not stand for I feared reprisal
Who was left would cower at their arrival
Now I stood alone you see
With no one left to stand for me.
