Changes

Our country was built on faith in God
Order and Liberty
And economic endeavors
Designed to keep us free

When man can stand on his own two feet
Helping others along the way
A country with free economic growth
Earns the taxes that we pay

But when government grows greedy
And takes economy in their control
Growth begins to dwindle
No money is there to flow

No jobs for many Americans
To steady a middle class
The wealthy being taxed to death
Topples them at last

That destroys the class which builds factories
Malls and restaurants
And takes away the jobs for those
Who now become have nots

Now the government that we all know
Falls in economic disrepair
Leading to the rise of a new regime
Keeping us poor and in despair

The way they spread the wealth
Is to put us in a zone
Of government prosperity
And poverty we've never known

The government elite will prosper
While the workers of the world unite
And the workers will pay the bills
And continue to live in blight
