Like a river life sometimes rushes by

Rapidly spilling all of your hopes and dreams over the falls

But beyond the thunderous falls lies a peaceful lake

It's mirrored blue water calls and calls

Within her bobs the hope of many men

Plans they thought were lost when the rushing river came

But few come looking for what they thought was gone forever

Dreams bumping the shore just waiting to be claimed

Hope and dreams are not easy to maintain

In life's fast paced world they are so easily swept away

To be taken by a the fierce rapids of the River Time

Unclaimed in the Lake of Lost Hope to likely fade away

The building blocks to New World Order can't be dangled from the sky

The powers-that-be know well not to try

Bottom up is the necessary step, you see

That involves the people, you and me

Indoctrination, influence, nanny state care

Corrupt the people while they are unaware

They target the naysayers and label them bigots

Let the koolaide run free from White House spigots

They will have the people toiling for their plot

Without a second thought, people will give what they've got

After all, they look forward to their life on welfare

We put them in power to act on our behalf

But some took that power as a throne

Laws were enacted for political gain

As government became overblown

It now is a kingdom for the man who broke his promises

And led so many to believe he cared

His reach has led beyond what is safe for our Republic

Those of us who see it are rightfully scared

The self indulgent politicians took the reins

And took their shadowy steed right to the brink

Now it is time for patriots to take their stand

Or look away as our country starts to sink

Our apathy let them in to defile our Constitution

It didn't just take a minute for this situation to evolve

But it's not said and done as long as We the People have our say

And as long as there remains a patriot's resolve

Why do we allow them to intrude so completely?

When will you question your money they burned?

Hero's All Who Understand

Heroes All Who Understand

A hero need not be those revered

Set on pedestals and cut in stone

They are heroes all, behind the scenes

Who are a part of the liberty we have known

Lonely wives with husbands abroad

Fighting wars against tyranny

Motherless children who lost the arms

Of mothers who died with dignity

Parents of children they nurtured and held

Only to send them off to war

A sister of a brother who protected her

Who enlisted and she will see no more

All are heroes in the cost of freedom

Who loneliness and loss are their sacrifice

As are all Americans cheering wars we won

Who support the real heroes we idolize

Heroes are those who will understand

The scars and loss that come with war

They are the ones who will extend their heart and hand

To our selfless veterans for evermore

Laws and regulations

The quote today comes from an old Supreme court case...

...and we continue to be oppressed by nit wits and criminals in our government.

We are pretty much programmed from the time we can tell right from wrong that it is right for us to live within the guidelines our government sets forth and it is wrong to break the law. A normal citizen goes about life basically doing as they are told. If they question "Why?" The answer is inevitably "because it's the law."

There are so many laws and regulations that we are prohibited from doing just about anything in any given place and circumstance. How many people are going to go look up every single law? We just take our punishment or change our ways to comply.

The government had pretty much been in a parental role of setting rules and handing out punishment. They use their rules to guide us, compel us, and force us to do as they please.

Since Obama has taken office the few of us who still question authority  have been raising alarms because the laws and regulations are beginning to oppress us. The changes being made are drastic and threatening the American lifestyle.  The scales have become weighted on the side of big government.

All we can do is keep sounding  the alarms and try to educate the complacent public who let bygones be bygones until it affects them so drastically they wake up and say "what the f#*k?"
